surprised Bayh isn’t running for Prez. Isnt that why he gave up the Senate?

I think Bayh just fled, fearing he could lose (a poll showed weak Republican John Hosteler trailing him by just 3 points and Mike Pence leading him), ironic given that Coats fled fearing he would lose to Bayh in 1998.

Or else he just wanted to cash out in the private sector or was burned out or a combination of all those factors.

He’s not rabid enough to win the rat nomination for President, wasn’t picked by Obama for VP for the same reason (and because Biden is great assassination insurance).

I feared perhaps he might run for Governor again.

Bayh was considered insufficiently pro-infanticide, otherwise he would’ve been a strong Presidential contender in 2008 (or VP choice looking at 2016 to succeed Zero).

Of course, Bayh would’ve been poor “assassination insurance” for Zero as VP, since few would’ve feared him ascending to the top job as a person. Zero picking the deranged Biden was actually a stroke of genius.
