Just for the record, when RR said ‘Republicans’, he meant it as in patriotic conservatives; not to be confused with today’s crop of RINO’s and GOPe.

Most people tend to live their lives as conservatives.

However, about half of them tend to vote contrary to their naturally conservative lives because there is a disconnect between how they live and how they think.

Rally to the sign of the Holy Cross (Cruz, in Spanish).

It is a sign from God!

The first Ted Cruz ad released after he announced was in Spanish, so he seems to be bucking for their votes.

It would be interesting to see how well he has done among Hispanic voters in Texas previously.

Latinos love entitlements when “somebody else” is paying for them. Until that changes, they may be “natural Republicans,” but not natural conservatives.

I am one of those fourth generation Mexicans they are talking about. I am a solid Conservative who served in the military and am strong in my Catholic Faith. I follow Jesus and the teachings in his Word and in his Church, but I don't buy into the political views of some Church leaders (I am not bound to. I can respectfully disagree). I don't speak Spanish, and though I love my Mexican heritage, I am America First all the way. I don't like being put in any category as an American-- I would like to blend in and just work hard, take care of my family, worship God, and make a positive contribution to this country which I am blessed to be a part of. I believe I am the type of Hispanic that this article is describing.

I know many others like me (including my extended family). They have the same core values I do and are in almost every way the type of Republicans Ronald Reagan spoke about--they just don't know it yet. They have been so brainwashed by their teachers and the media and by Socialist "Latino Leaders" that they go against their own values and support leftists like Obama.

These are the types of people Ted Cruz needs to reach. The brainwashing is strong in these ones, but if he can show them that his values are their values, and that the Left has been using them for the last 50 years, he can resonate with them.

It’s not about race. It’s about separation from elite crony corporate socialism. Is Cruz about that?

he also apparently becomes the first major Latino figure to run for the White House.

It's easy to forget but Bill Richardson (D) ran in 2008. His campaign went nowhere even though he was arguably the most qualified rat.

The first 'Latino' period was Republican Ben Fernandez who was a minor candidate in 1980 and 1984.

RONALD REAGAN ONCE said that Latinos were Republicans. They just didn’t know it yet.

Ted Cruz, the Republican U.S. senator from Texas who has become the first major candidate to officially enter the 2016 presidential campaign, is quietly gambling that those words were never truer than in the upcoming campaign where he also apparently becomes the first major Latino figure to run for the White House.

Uh oh...

Jesus Christ: You can’t impeach Him and He ain’t gonna resign.
