"Even Ted Cruz is not calling for that"

That's because he's a commie just like the rest of 'em! ;-)

Rand Paul's immigration speech
...The Republican Party must embrace more legal immigration.

Unfortunately, like many of the major debates in Washington, immigration has become a stalemate-where both sides are imprisoned by their own rhetoric or attachment to sacred cows that prevent the possibility of a balanced solution.

Immigration Reform will not occur until Conservative Republicans, like myself, become part of the solution. I am here today to begin that conversation.

Let's start that conversation by acknowledging we aren't going to deport 12 million illegal immigrants.

If you wish to work, if you wish to live and work in America, then we will find a place for you...

This is where prudence, compassion and thrift all point us toward the same goal: bringing these workers out of the shadows and into being taxpaying members of society.

Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers.12 million more people assimilating into society. 12 million more people being productive contributors.

Rand Paul calls on conservatives to embrace immigration reform
Latinos, should be a natural constituency for the party, Paul argued, but "Republicans have pushed them away with harsh rhetoric over immigration." ...he would create a bipartisan panel to determine how many visas should be granted for workers already in the United States and those who might follow... [and the buried lead] "Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers...

On Immigration, Cruz Aims for Middle Ground "Asked about what to do with the people here illegally, however, he stressed that he had never tried to undo the goal of allowing them to stay.

“The amendment that I introduced removed the path to citizenship, but it did not change the underlying work permit from the Gang of Eight,” he said during a recent visit to El Paso. Cruz also noted that he had not called for deportation or, as Mitt Romney famously advocated, self-deportation.

Walker is trying to put one over on us.

“Legal status” is a path to citizenship; there would be no way to prevent it, short of a constitutional amendment.

Anyone allowed in the country permanently would be entitled to seek citizenship through the normal process.

Walker is a total non-starter as president.

His Chamber of Commerce politics will finish the job of sinking this ship.

It has nothing to do with the NYT, either. They have shown that Cruz and Palin are the only ones they fear. Walker, Bush, Christy, etc, they win by default.

Without question.

It looks like he may be the best possible president in the last 200 years.

Read the 14th amendment!

A “work permit” is legal status, and thus ultimately citizenship.

No.

I am going to listen to what Walker has to say about Walker, and Walker went into a closed door meeting with known amnesty supporters, which was an incredibly foolish thing to do if he intends to earn the votes of people like me.

If cameras had been allowed inside, then he could show us real easy like what he said and that the Times is lying about him, but he didn’t so he can’t.

And that’s a problem.

Walker, by his words and actions, has failed to convince me that he is not a stealth amnesty GOP usual suspect.

“Gov. Walker has stated quite clearly that he has learned more about this problem since 2002 and that he does not support amnesty and that securing the border is job number one.”

Yes...quite clear from 2002...until he voted to endorse and support the McCain-Kennedy Immigration bill in 2006.

The guy has been all over he place. Up until a few month ago he still supported a “path to citizenship”.

I get it that a lot of people want to believe he is everything they hope him to be..but if you honestly look at the positions he has taken and is record supporting...how can trust him on this issue?
