There is some dispute about that. But there is no dispute that it lowered malpractice insurance premiums. There is no doubt that tort reform lowers malpractice insurance premiums. But I asked for evidence that it resulted in lower medical insurance premiums, and your article did not mention that happening and I've never been able to find any studies that showed that tort reform did in any state it was enacted.
In a competitive marketplace, lowered costs results in lower prices.
Or higher profits. And that seems to be the case where lower malpractice premiums are concerned.

Lets think about this. Leftists whine all the time that Reps only give tax cuts for the rich. Ending Obozocare would be a tax cut for the poor and middle class... isnt that something leftists could support! I'm trying to figure out if you're being funny, sarcastic, rhetorical or serious here. Leftists NEVER support tax cuts. They believe the Government can spend your money better than you can.

“For the same reason the US Supreme Court refused to repeal Social Security, “once the benefits started flowing.””
Was SS ever ruled on by the Supremes?

“This would in effect leave the future of the ACA to the next president.
If the Supreme Court strikes down the subsidies as unconstitutional then how can Congress pass a law extending those unconstitutional subsidies for another 18 months?”
All the more reason we need Cruz.
Yeah, seems like the twilight zone to extend something that is unconstitutional! Obviously laws and the Constitution don’t matter much to either party.

I’m ready, see my tagline.
I wish everyone would do the same. It will be ugly and there will be no more business as usual.

Was SS ever ruled on by the Supremes? Yes, and I explained what the results were.

oh, so congress just needs to pass a law with the correct average then (including ‘state OR federal exchange’)

You’ve described perfectly the inequities if communism, even if we never outright voted for it.

Thanks; the RE-election of Obama was a vote for communism by those casting ballots. In 2008 voters could claim ignorance/media deception; unfortunately the same wasn’t the case in 2012. Obama himself didn’t start some of these programs, but he added more and made clear his intentions very quickly after the 2008 election.
Many of us here (myself included) don’t want to accept how many of our countrymen (not just the unassimilated minorities) feel entitled to our hard-earned wages.

When were his comments on sharing the wealth to Joe the Plumber? It was before one of the elections, I think 2008. We had his number from the very beginning, and he never even tried to hide it. That 47%+ just want what we have - but don’t consider that they are dragging all of us down together.

Congress could certainly do that and "fix" the problem (although I think the odds of them doing that are slim), and some are speculating that Kennedy will use this exact reasoning to strike down the ACA. Why should the court get involved when congress could fix the problem they created in the first place?

We knew what he was in 2008, but the media covered for him; by 2012, he was openly communist and an obvious failure.
