Ted Cruz Raises $2 Million in First 3 Days of 2016 Campaign

WASHINGTON — Sen. Ted Cruz, the first major Republican candidate to declare his White House candidacy, raised $2 million during the first three days of his presidential campaign — as his team deployed a mix of complex social-media strategy and behavioral analytics to reach and sway potential donors.

Hours before his announcement speech Monday in Lynchburg, Va., Cruz tweeted the news that he was running for president. That day, he had 5.7 million interactions on Facebook. So far, nearly two-thirds of his fundraising haul has flowed in through the Internet, aided behind the scenes by a team of data scientists who closely monitor social media and digital traffic to determine who’s reading their messages, who’s sharing them and who’s clicking through to his website and taking action.

98 million to go.....keep it going. Hopefully next week will be 3 million and on and on and on. To be honest, it is a shame that politicians have to raise so much money just to represent us. No I don’t want federal funds, but I sure wish it was a lesser priority to have to raise money. Most have to begin immediately after election to raise money for the next campaign. I hate that for them.

98 million? More like 980 million! There are senate races that will reach $50 million.

It’ll cut into the extra cash I put into paying extra on the principal on my mortgage, but I pledge $50.00 a month to the Ted Cruz presidential campaign.

“98 million? More like 980 million! There are senate races that will reach $50 million.”

Sad situation that it is all about MONEY FOR FAVORS in our politics. But that is the name of the game. I have already contributed and if the momentum keeps up, there will be more. We do need to be positive and always remind ourselves about what happened with Reagan’s election. There is a LONG WAY to go. Keep the faith.

that pond scum JEB tapped early .

Let’s hope Ted Cruz can meet his goals for POTUS.

He’s the only honest guy in this race

so pull out your checkbooks please and

start writing-this is far beyond a race for “office”

this is about the survival of the United States and

imho Ted Cruz is the only one who is able to re-

right the ship that is fast falling into the depths

of a marxist state run by the military industrial

complex and big business.

Ten million people raising $100 each nullifies the billionaire advantage.

Long-term, there has to be a return to limited government. No sense in paying for favors a government can’t grant.

For people that click through to the article, it states that the Cruz goal is to raise $40 to $50 million by March 2016.

Well it's only March 2015, just a few days into the campaign, and already $3 million has been raised.

This sounds like a fast start.

I sent my 1st $100 on day 2 and will commit to same each month. Not much, but the best I can do and the most I will have ever given to any Pol. Thinking of calling my RINO rep's office next week and tell them why he gets NADA...because he became another Boehner buttboy.

ITs important not that Ted raises matching amounts to Jeb, its that he is going to raise enough to get what he needs to run his campaign (he’ll exceed it if the trend continues), but more importantly that he raises an army of grassroots support. That grassroots support will grow to millions of people donating $50...$250..$500, whereas Jeb may raise millions from far far less people, mainly the detached donor class. Ted will win with this coalition, Jeb is not going to be able to compete on that level, Jeb does not connect with voters.
