BREAKING: Air Canada Plane Crashes on Runway at Halifax Airport - Reports

An Air Canada plane has reportedly crashed on the runway of the the Halifax International Airport on Sunday, but injuries have not yet been reported.

The plane likely clipped power lines that led to the crash. The incident led to power outage at the airport, and reports suggest that passangers are safe.

More details are awaited.

Happened about 30 minutes ago. This is the first major Media report. RT went breaking with it about 20 minutes ago.

Apparently clipped a power line on landing, slid off the runway.

Power is out at the airport.

No "Major" injuries reported so far.

Air Canada confirms flight 624 exited runaway upon landing @HfxStanfield. Air Canada says all passengers are off the plane

AirCanada has officially confirmed flight AC624, form YYZ-YHZ exited runway upon landing at #Halifax.

UPDATE: Fire units being re-directed to the LifeFlight hanger to assist with triage and treatment of the patients.
