When the "Sexual Revolution" started in the 1960s with "Free Love" the obvious goal was to destroy the institution of marriage; however, this movement didn't catch on the way the left wanted it to.
So, the left spent the next few decades "normalizing" homosexuality. They used AIDS to elicit sympathy for homosexuals and convinced Hollywood to promote homosexuality. Then prominent homosexuals started touting monogamy and expressing a desire to "marry" other homosexuals. What most of society fails to understand is that the left's goal REMAINS the destruction of marriage and the family as an institution. Homosexuals DO NOT want monogamy, they may grudgingly accept it out of fear of AIDS, but their real desire is to return to the days of the bath houses in the 1970s.
As you know, God created the institution of marriage and family in the Garden of Eden BEFORE the Fall and He was clear that marriage was man and woman. The sinfulness that is sometimes present in sex came AFTER the Fall.
The left wants society to ignore the fact that marriage IS NOT about sex, it is about man and woman becoming one and having a family; sex is a part of marriage, but it doesn't define it. Homosexuality isn't about family or becoming one, it is about sex and nothing else, it is a sinful rejection of God's design.
