Once in awhile Creepy Uncle Joe says something embarrassing only to dumocrats.
He might just be parroting what he heard someone Jewish say, to get street cred with the Tribe. Either that, or gentleman that he is, he’s giving us fair warning.
He spoke the truth by accident.
I’m trying to imagine my reaction if he had said to me (or my mother, a legal immigrant, and her reaction), “no matter how hospitable, no matter how consequential, no matter how engaged, no matter how deeply involved you are in the United States—there’s only one guarantee, and that’s the Republic of Ireland”.
So that’s why zero drank three beers before 9:30am.

Well Corey Robin of Salon, based on your liberal ilk I don’t think the US can protect my safety either. 9/11 proved that.

I am a staunch supporter of Israel for the very reason that Golda Meir and Joe Biden voiced, and while I do not know Biden's motivation, I completely agree with what the statement quoted above. I pray that such a terrible day never comes to pass, but I am afraid that even America will turn against Israel and then its own Jews. I don't know when, but fallen humans eventually fall back into the same sins. When that day comes, Jews will have "only" God to protect them, and nowhere else to go but to the land that he promised.
Biden said, in essence, that the USA is about to turn on its native Jewish population as it turned on Israel.
He is telling them to leave, politely.
That is not so! I, personally, will stand with them. Face facts, folks, when the Jews come under attack in this country Christians will also come under attack.

No one with any sense “count(s) on the United States government as the ultimate guarantor of their freedom and safety.” We get our freedom from our creator and the Constitution is its guarantor. Anyone looking for “safety” or another “guarantor” is deluded.
That's exactly what Biden said, and I fear that he is right. It hasn't happened yet and I don't actually believe Biden wants it to happen, but he apparently understands history well enough to see that it will repeat itself, yet again. No one knows the timetable, but it is clear that Israel is being steadily marginalized among nations. Once that happens, I don't think it will be long before Jews are once again marginalized as a people, and effectively chased to the only safe haven remaining. The cycles of history turn slowly, but once they turn the hammer of change falls quickly. The current state of affairs is very precarious.
I’ve heard from various Jewish friends over the years that the holocaust could happen again, right here. Always thought they were paranoid. But now I see that they were right. I am truly, deeply saddened.
The Sultan and Valjar Rasputin are not going to like him stating this.
But not to worry; at least the News Cartel won’t cover it.
