Gov. Walker doesn't expect bill like Indiana's religious freedom act to become law in Wisconsin

MILWAUKEE (WKOW) – Governor Scott Walker talked about Indiana's religious freedom bill on Monday in the Milwaukee area for the first time since it became law last week.

Walker believes the NCAA will discuss how the bill, which some say gives businesses the right to discriminate against members of the LGBT community, will impact their headquarters and events like the Big Ten Football Championship Game, which are in Indianapolis, in the near future.

Despite that, he doesn't think the law will stop most Badgers fans from making the trip to Indianapolis to see the men's basketball team play in the Final Four on Saturday.

Walker doesn't expect a similar bill being put up for debate in the Wisconsin state legislature because businesses in the state have found a balance between not discriminating against groups while still respecting people's religious beliefs.

“That's something that folks will have to look at in the future,” said Walker while talking about the bill in Indiana. “As I understand, the law is not unlike the one that President Obama voted for when he was a member of the state senate in Illinois, but that's an issue they'll have to debate in Indiana. It's really not something that we're going to be involved with here.”

Democrats in Indiana told ABC News the only way they can fix the law is to repeal it, which is unlikely to happen.

Exactly. Walker’s career demonstrates that he has the character, integrity and leadership to lead our nation. He’s a straight kicker, plus he’s always scoring points even after the touch down!

I agree, but the swastika/Jews/Nazis theme makes a slightly different point.

"...but politics is built on compromise. It’s the art of the possible."

This is what compromise looks like.

The art of the possible looks absolutely brilliant and responsible indeed.

Now if you want to talk about political deception and Machiavellian strategies/tactics that is fine but compromise is for the fat and happy lusting for power where collateral damage is the art of the possible.

I’m talking about Scott Walker and his method for sidestepping the MSM nationally and GOPe in his own state. I don’t need a lecture on what liberalism and the DC insiders have done to our nation.

"the Leftists know Walker's sidestepping their trap - again

So Walker is adept at sidestepping and avoiding traps; go this way around that trap, go right around that one, backtrack here and deny there.

Cruz knows the traps; confronts them head on and lures the trappers to step in it, he then smiles and continues to move straight ahead while the trappers scream in pain and fear, effectively demonstrating avoidance and sidestepping is major character flaw, one the enemy will exploit every time, you see character, principle, integrity and courage will lift one above and carry them beyond the traps.

"I don’t need a lecture on what liberalism and the DC insiders have done to our nation."

The first picture was the result of compromise by the Reagan admin. Second, the result of compromise where spending became out of control during the 1980's (Debt is sometimes necessary but once out of control will be a noose around the future's neck). Two of the Republican Justices (5 where their decisions resulted in over 50 million murdered) pictured were appointed by Reagan due to compromise.

Was Reagan liberal? No, but as you stated Reagan compromised and look where compromise gets you. Compromise gets you the art of "Liberal" possibilities indeed.

I know what all the photos stand for. Reagan was forced to compromise by the American people who elected Democrats to run Congress and believed the lies of the MSM.

A Pres. Walker or any GOP president (the more conservative the better) may be blessed to have a GOP Congress to work with.

Ah, hence your analogy breaks down. Pat Summeralls job was to punt. Walker’s is to dodge tacklers.

So we are supposed to admire and vote for a guy who skirts all the questions? I’m not impressed. Mitt Walker is starting to sound like the mushy middle to me.

On this issue, Walker is a profile in Cowardice.

Running away from another fight, because it interferes with his Presidential run.

John Newton Mitchell said that: Watch what we do, not what we say. So ol’ “unlikeable” John Newton talked like Clayton Williams and enforced like Rudy Giuliani. Nevertheless: he got the liberal nboot and died on a NYC sidewalk of a heart attack.

Walker's a work horse not a show horse.

I think Walker is going to let you down in the worst possible way. He’s not a bad guy but he’s not the one for 2016. If elected he will be a placeholder for the next Democrat. He’s GW Bush’s third term. He’s the guy who will re-arrange the deck chairs on the Titanic.
