i remember a cousin at a family gathering years ago with a can of grasshoppers trying to get people to try one. I did not.

"Going barefoot" (or jogging barefoot) is being recommended. (Fewer bacteria than shoes). For my torn knee cartilage, I've found going barefoot eases the jarring at the knees associated with shoes—especially severe at the point when the shoe's heel strikes the ground. More of the foot muscles are used when barefoot, making for a gentler "ride".
