Republican Indiana legislators have reportedly struck a deal to fix the state's controversial religious freedom law in order to protect gays and lesbians from discrimination.
"We feel there is a strong consensus," Senate Pro Tempore David Long (R) told The Indianapolis Star Wednesday night.

Then what’s the point of the damned law?
Cave in to the corporate elites from the GOP.
The “deal”: we’ll gut this one, and nobody will ever try to pass another one anyplace in the USA. Oh, and did you want roses or carnations atop your wedding cake?
It matters not where the “point of resistance” is for Christians,
the left will find that point of resistance and criminalize it.
What is it that our side always caves before gays?
The world might not be watching, but seemingly, Arkansas was.
Cowards all.
Someone left my gay wedding cake in the rain...

Why do they get special treatment? Are they a religion?
All this crap in the headlines for days upon days, so the MSM doesn’t cover the REAL atrocity, the killing of Christians by Muslims, in Kenya and around the world.
“...does not justify denying services to someone because of their sexual orientation or gender identity.”
If you voted for a Republican in Indiana because you thought they would protect your liberty, you were wrong.
Mid-westerners just want to be liked by the media. Pathetic. Maybe it’s too much corn in their diet.
Guess I need to wear a cross and Yes Jesus Loves Me t-shirt and go into some bakeries owned by gays and ask if if they will bake me a cake with this verse on it:
Lev. 18:22, “You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination.”
They shouldn’t have a problem with it if they are held to the same standard as we are right?
Money. It’s that simple. The big corporations own the Republicans and the big corps love Sodomites. It’s about time we learn that Republicans are not on “our side”.
Since this law was in response to people suing because they claimed discrimination based on sexual identity then what is the law supposed to protect against now?
We've reached a point in American political discourse where you are no longer assumed to be protected by the very Constitution of our nation unless you are a heterosexual white Christian male. I doubt that was the intent of our Founders.
We did a lot of hard work to bring the groups together to find the comfort level everyone feels does the job of truly saying this does not discriminate against anyone."
Can anyone explain to me what this means? Let's go to the dictionary.
dis·crim·i·nate
dəˈskriməˌnāt/
verb
1. recognize a distinction; differentiate. "babies can discriminate between different facial expressions of emotion"
synonyms: differentiate, distinguish, draw a distinction, tell the difference, tell apart; More

How can one tell to whom the law even applies unless one is able to discriminate?
Think about it though. This was very well played by the GOPe. The talking points were, “this isn’t about gays, this is about protecting religious conscious.” Where did those talking points come from? They came from the Party Bosses. I know this for certain. Now with this language being added, anyone who objects to the change will have to admit that it was about ‘gays’ all along. Now the bill is absolutely meaningless, but enough of the good people of Indiana (and soon Arkansas) will think, “they tried, and it’s better than nothing. Better vote for them again.”
You see how we’re being played?
It is not just big businesses that are suffering. Even small retailers and internet sellers are losing customers from out of state. It is surreal.
