I’ve been everywhere, man
In my underwear, man
Run through public squares, man
In my underwear, man
I’ve been everywhere, man
In my underwear....
I have the Kirkeby recording in a top-notch transfer on a CD put out on “The Old Masters” label. Kirkeby was the manager of The California Ramblers group, and also recorded some small-groups from the band utilizing endless pseudonyms on endless labels. Some items are particularly hot, as in The Goofus Five’s recording of “Vo-Do-Do-De-O Blues” from 1927, despite the silly name and title.
Thank you Kathy! Hit 67 today, snow this weekend. I guess we had our summer.... :)

Just put a new amp and woofer in my sons ride today; yup, we tested it with this tune (as well as others)..

“Home sweet Home”..
The back story for me; I was aboard the USS Germantown (LSD 42) and we just finished UNREP after being relieved in the gulf headed back to the states (we were put on station longer than the typical float). As soon as the last rope dropped from our UNREP host this song came blaring over the PA’s.
Its not so much the song (a little of course) but all the memories of serving with so many good men and brothers I have not seen or heard from in years that are conjured every time I hear this. I swear I can smell the sea water and ships exhaust as I type this..
Carpet guy just arrived and Mom is settled in the office.
