Surely you jest, he will do plenty for there is no one even attempting to curb his lawless behavior.
complete.....
I agree. As soon as Cruz becomes President, the left will suddenly have a heart attack if Cruz tries to use his authority as President.
I can see it all now. Lord have mercy.
I really wish you'd quit backing up and crayfishing all over the place. C'mon, what do you really think?!
“Is the left insane”
Absolutely!!! No doubt in my mind.
More like 154 years.
“The Union, next to our liberty, most dear.” —John C Calhoun (1782-1850)
President Cruz will really need to have a tight security detail. Look what happened to Reagan. I think history proves the left is far more prone to violence than the right. That’s one of the reasons why Christians are so easily bullied. We turn the other cheek. We don’t resort to violence against political opponents.
These people keep talking as if there was a Federal or President to contend for. when the whole country is going to trash because Obama wants to make sure there is none of that to survive.
American Christians have also taken the easy route. With little or no concerted social resistance to fight against, they don’t know what it is to see God invested in miracles on that plane. In a way they are victims of their own American success.
There is a higher power than violence, but Christians have become more and more estranged from it.
>> If some red states were to openly defy the authority of President Obama in the exercise of his constitutional duties
Yawn...
The gumption seems to be lacking today to do this.
Evil is a kind of insanity.
There is definitely a higher power than violence, and I agree Christianity in America is weak. We are, like you wrote, victims of our own success. However, a lot of it has to do with Christianity itself. Christians aren’t “in your face” type of folks to start with.
That’s what’s so ridiculous about the left’s claims. We really aren’t the hate filled bigots they claim. Truth be told, that’s more likely self projection by the left. Christians, as you know, are usually very introspective. We pray, we repent, we seek to do what’s right.
But we also cheer on God, and that doesn’t go over well with servants of Satan.
The perspective needs to be regained that it really is about God and that God will furnish what is necessary to those who are earnest about God. But God has never promised a rose garden in this world, at least not one without thorns.
I like your name for the Washington Compost. Very accurate.
One thing is for sure. The battle lines are being drawn more clearly than at any other time in my life. It’s not going to be possible much longer to sit on the sidelines. Either stand as a Christian and be punished for it, or take the proverbial mark. I’m not even talking about end times, even though we could be getting close (the world certainly seems more like Sodom and Gomorrah every day).
No. In most countries Christians pay a real price for their beliefs. American Christians have had it easy, and that’s made us soft (Lord forgive me!).
“But God has never promised a rose garden in this world, at least not one without thorns.”
You are so right, my FRiend. Scripture itself explains that Christ was crucified. He did NOTHING to deserve death, but they murdered Him. We should be prepared no better.
When prophecy says Christians will be beheaded for the testimony, it’s not a fable.
Well, putting our hope back in God is never in vain, because the gift of the cross sacrifice of Christ can not be nullified.
It was never about what we could earn. It was about what we would accept.
