The End of History, Part II [AP US History distortions]
WSJ ^ | 4-1-15 | Lynne Cheney

The framework requires that all questions take up sweeping issues, such as “group identity,” which leaves little place for transcendent individuals. Men and women who were once studied as inspirational figures have become examples of trends, and usually not uplifting ones. The immigrant story that the exam tells is of oppressed people escaping to America only to find more oppression. That many came seeking the Promised Land—and found it here—is no longer part of the narrative.

I tutor many high-achieving Korean immigrant kids. All of them take the APUSH class and exam (Advanced Placement US History) It is so sad to see them learning only negative things about US history. And their parents can't correct the textbooks because the parents don't know US history, plus the Korean parents (being typical Asians with Confucian values on education) blindly trust the teachers. Liberals have targeted the top students, the future leaders, and are indoctrinating them in anti-US propaganda and the kids and their parents are completely unaware of what is happening. So sad.

I didn't know whether to laugh or cry when I read this in the WSJ.
I'd like to know what federal agency is responsible for this rewrite.

I wouldn't be surprised if Barry and the Moose had a direct behind-the-scenes hand in this.
