Yep. The military tests translation software by feeding in an English phrase, translating it into the target language, then taking that target language phrase and feeding it back in to translate it back into English.
Years ago they had a pretty good English-Russian translator.
The put in “Out of sight, out of mind”, fed the Russian translation back into the machine and it spit out “Invisible insanity”...
