I agree with everyone here.
I cant imagine this competition was open to minors. I’m sure, unless ESPN was stupid, to have a disclaimer stipulation that you have to be over 18 to enter.

Minimum gambling age in Illinois is 18. Every state but Utah has a minimum age limit.

My guess: he'll get an all-expenses paid trip to become a guest on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live and a free family trip later this summer to Disneyland or Disney World.

If he had been an illegal alien and lied about this citizenship, he’d be a national hero to The Left.
ESPN is nitpicking and deserves all the bad publicity it’s getting.

ESPN should not pay the prize because the registrant was fraudulent.
If ESPN was smart, they would do something else to deflect the apparent hype - put 20k in a 529 plan for eductional purposes or something like that.

So companies with enough money (love the blatant appeal to class envy) should break the law and let the kid “win” a contest he is ineligible to even enter because your “feelings” are hurt?
You actually support children breaking rules which are in place to keep them from giving out their names and addresses online to predators?
You are a piece of work.

Yo, ESPN, as if we needed further proof who jerks are lowlifes.
Disclaimer, I have long been a sports fan but I avoid ESPN like I avoid the plague of the other alphabet libtards at ABC, CNN, CBS, NBC, MSNBC.

If I understand the details correctly, the boy used his fathers email to submit his entry.
He should have kept his mouth shut and let his father put the claim in for the winnings.

ESPN is run by liberals and sports “journalist” are more liberal than others.
And since we know liberals are STUPID it doesn’t surprise me they won’t (they will eventually) pay this kid.
First, they should make sure no one under 18 can play. Second, if they do they should make it a scholarship to a school (community college, tech school, university).
Frankly, I hate ESPN. It’s awful and hard to watch.
