In a new Washington Post-Kaiser Family Foundation poll, the majority of Iraq/Afghanistan war veterans miss President George W. Bush. Sixty-five percent called the 43rd president a good commander in chief, whereas only 42 percent felt the same way about Barack Obama.
Even with the Iraq War, half of veterans say it wasnt worth the fight, but 53 percent still think Bush was a good commander in chief, though when you ask veterans who feel otherwise about the wars purpose; Bushs approval hits 80 percent.

The “war” which was more like a police action ala Vietnam or Korea with no plan for victory and did not go after Pakistan that created the Taliban or Saudi Arabia that created Al-Quaeda was a distraction.
Bush distracted conservatives with the “war” and recycled conservative anger towards anti-war leftists. With conservative energy directed there, liberalism could be implemented at home like Medicare Part D, No Child Left Behind all the way up to the 2008 bank bailout TARP.
President Bush caused President Muslim
Its not whining, its a fact that W was just another liberal Rockefeller Republican because Rockefeller Republicans gave themselves a new name-Neocons.
Right
The purge is working at the top and the newbies don’t listen to political news. The turnover rate at the bottom is very high. I doubt the youngest watch the news at all.
civilian...”Across all three platforms, there is a very large gap between the heaviest news consumers and everyone else. The top third of network news viewers in terms of time spent, for example, average almost 32 minutes a day watching network news. The next third spends about one-sixth as much time, or five minutes, watching network news.”

Some of our best Presidents have been military veterans. Maybe we should add a Constitutional amendment that requires the President to have military experience. Id vote for that.
John Kerry and John McCain were military veterans...

0bama keeps killing SpecOps. And Vets. And especially those on active duty who shoot muslims.
The ultimate purpose of the article and I’m sure there are more with different themes out there (to be posted on FR in the hours, days and weeks ahead) is to create a positive image of the last President Bush to help elect the next President Bush.
There is a distinct difference between Bush and Zero; a lot of Bush’s decisions turned out to be bad but they weren’t intentional and he wasn’t hellbent on destroying a country. Given the chance I think Americans would gladly take Bush over Zero any day.
NEOKHAAANN!
Now watch FReepers start whining. George W. Bush wasnt a conservative, and all . . . .
He’s not. Neither is Jeb Bush. What’s your point?
And the only reason the vets probably gave BO that high a mark is because they fear retribution for having their benefits or pensions stripped or being audited.
Tell that to the “Bush gave us Obama” crowd. Here, on FR, I mean.
Here’s your whine.....
He was so conservative he couldn’t wait to sign his bill to give jobs to illegals.....and take them away from American citizens!
I too believe he opened the door for Obama ‘s presidency.
Obama was pre-ordained. By the masses, and the media. To blame Bush for him is beyond weak.
He doesn’t have a point. He loves to pick fights, that’s all.
I’m not fighting, here. Just observing.
I am a seventy year old Navy vet and I hardly watch network news at all any longer. It all seems so biased, even Fox seems to go out of the way not to offend the left now. It is astounding that we are afraid to offend those we condemned a few years ago.
Would you consider Jeb Bush a Conservative?
