Hillary Clinton Doesn’t Need a Primary Fight - It's like she's an incumbent already...
New York Times ^ | April 13, 2015 | Nate Cohn

Hillary Clinton has a better chance of winning her party’s nomination without a serious contest than any nonincumbent in the modern era. If that happens, she will be lucky to avoid the fight. Most of the concerns about an unopposed Clinton candidacy are overstated, and there are big reasons she will benefit from running unopposed in the presidential primary......

But primary campaigns tend to expose the flaws of fundamentally weak candidates.......

[SNIP]

....Mrs. Clinton has a good chance of fending off these charges with a unified Democratic Party........Controversies about the Clintons — like over the Clinton Foundation or her email account — are far less likely to take hold if Democrats defend her.

Her total political experience entering the 2016 contest is probably more akin to that of an incumbent president than anything else....

Perhaps she’s rustier than most — it has been seven years since she last ran — but it’s not as if Mrs. Clinton will be on the sidelines for the next year.....and she’ll have plenty of opportunities over the next year and half to get back up to speed.

In 2008, inevitable Hillary came in at THIRD PLACE in the Iowa caucuses, behind BO, and also behind John Edwards.

Two of the last three democrat presidents (Clinton and Carter) were governors from the South. If the Democrats want a good chance of winning the general election, they’ll persuade a governor or former governor, from the South, to run. Sen. Mark Warner and Sen. Tim Kaine would be their best choices.

The normal dwarfs will pile into the campaign. Candidates for federal office can collect up to two years of the expected salary from the campaign funds.

None are serious competition, but enough to annoy the latest anointed one from the Democrats.

Thank heavens for YouTube and private computer files on the Real non-fiction Hillary Clinton plus her infamous baggage. I love this one, depicting her complicity with BHO:

(Jay Leno)....Obama and Clinton just dripping with insincerity.....sickening.

Even a cursory examination of her personality will tell you, she has no stomach for a challenge to her. More accurately, she has no ability to tolerate one. Anybody seriously gets in her face, she will explode.

I agree. Ex-Gov. Crist would be likely to win the democrat nomination, if he runs for president.

"We need overwhelming numbers.

Yes, turnout is the only way we're going to win this thing. With relatively no opposition from her own party plus everyone who is currently taking some kind of handout, she starts off with 47% of the vote just waking up each day. Her ability to get the remaining 3.01% to win the general election is a much easier path than what any Republican candidate will have to navigate.
