I have noticed a large uptick in the number of government paid advertisements on radio lately by the Ad Council. They seem harmless enough separately... brush your teeth, don’t drive drunk, talk to your kids, exercise more... but when taken together as the aggregate, they smack of pure socialist mass brainwashing so we’re all healthy, happy comrades. The Ad Council should be defunded as a vehicle of federally funded mass manipulation. Just my daily rant.

There was an AM station here that used to run Mark Levin. They drove me nuts because their automation never worked right, and they’d keep cutting him off in mid-sentence to run commercial breaks.

Except the station was not selling any ads, so they’d run a string of 6 to 10 of these liberal PSA’s from the Ad Council. Generally making the exact opposite point of what Mark was trying to say before he was so rudely interrupted.

The station was donated to a church and plays Gospel Music now. Levin has no affiliate here at the moment.

I have noticed that too on the 'local' station I listen to online (KFAY, Fayetteville, AR). Most of the ads are from the Ad Council.

One that irritates me is the brat telling America they are throwing away food while kids are going hungry. Depending on the ad, there are between 13 million and 19 million hungry kids. [So what does the EBT money go for?]

I have noticed recently that KFAY frequently just goes silent for 30 seconds or so. I get the impression radio is having a tough time filling ad space.
