Houses kill more birds than windmills.

People who neither spend time out of doors in quiet pursuits nor mow are unaware how often birds misjudge things and fatally smack into immovable objects. A nation which spends all its time inside has become ignorant of the natural world.

Hey, would y’all like some breeding pairs of coyotes? That feral problem is one hundred percent solvable.

Or you might try to increase the dingo population. They could likely do the job if allowed.

And a lot more trees. Which birds meet their maker against as well.

None of these things birds run into decrease the bird population as a whole because most birds still die due to the population in nature outstripping the food supply.

All windmills do is cause noticing this moving blade this become a survival this or a it that can (in the vicinity of turbines) out weigh the trait of spotting an edible seed or insect 3 tenths of a second faster than a competing bird.

At the end of the year more birds will still have died due to not scavenging enough food, and the propeller commandos were probably birds who were careless because hunger made them desperate.

The whole bird crisis thing is exclusively an issue for air conditioned couch potatoes too young to have gone to school when the squeemish things about nature were still taught.

Not in the slightest.

The truth I pointed out is what most people of my generation who payed attention in school, and most farmers of any generation will tell you.

I was educated in a different time and then I had the United States government pay me to spend much of my time camping outdoors for over a decade.

If you live in nature for a long period you perceive it differently than city dwellers.

See, that’s why they start putting those bird shredders offshore - so the dead birds just sink into the water and get eaten by the fish before anyone can do a count. /semi-joking

“Houses kill more birds than windmills.”

Houses are well known bird-haters.

I think they resent being pooped on.
