Of course the media should report on ‘Clinton Cash’
THE WASHINGTON POST ^ | 20 Apr 15 | Chris Cillizza

Posted on 04/20/2015 11:45:33 PM PDT by elhombrelibre

A New York Times story on a new book detailing allegations of improprieties at the Clinton Foundation contained this paragraph:

But “Clinton Cash” is potentially more unsettling, both because of its focused reporting and because major news organizations including The Times, The Washington Post and Fox News have exclusive agreements with the author to pursue the story lines found in the book.

Outrage! screamed the Clinton machine. "The conservative author Peter Schweizer has a major credibility problem, though you wouldn't know it, because this anti-Clinton manifesto is being peddled by some in the media who have essentially reprinted the press release on its publication," said Adrienne Watson, a spokeswoman for Correct The Record, a rapid response super PAC formed to defend Clinton from attacks. At Media Matters for America, David Brock released an entire report detailing past mistakes and omissions by Schweizer.

This opinion piece rebuts Clintonistas with some solid principles that any journalist in a democracy ought to consider, especially considering the fact that the Democrats won’t want any light shining on the vast wealth (over 100 million dollars) of the Clintons and their influence peddling.

But only as long as there is not more important stuff to report on. For example, an in depth story on the East Podunk Taffy Pulling Contest and the exciting news about SQUIRRELS!!!!

I see the Clinton Machine is outraged over Peter Schweizer’s new book, and I see them attacking the messenger (as usual).

What I DON’T see is them actually denying the biggest charge in the book, that Hillary did work as SOS that actually benefitted foreign countries that donated to her Foundation.

That’s clearly a conflict of interest at minimum, and possibly a charge of selling influence to a foreign power (pretty sure that’s some kind of federal crime).

Time to start answering the accumulating questions, Hillary.

Hillary came out on TV and took no questions, offered no denials,just to say that she fully expected attacks like this to distract from the ‘issues’ and she is ready for them.

John Podesta repeated the same talking points.

Once again attack the messenger.

But NYT and Wash Post join in to report this sleazy scandal making the Clinton strategy harder to succeed, .

If I remember correctly, there’s a pretty obvious restriction from doing what Hils did (and personally benefited from handsomely) in the constitution. Don’t remember where it is but the clause speaks against government officials accepting “emoluments” from foreign sources.

I agree, but the Clinton tactics that worked so well when aimed at conservatives won’t work as well against the normal MSM asking questions that should be pertinent to any candidate. To wit, how do you justify taking so much foreign money from countries that do not share American values? How can your brother, Ms. Clinton, scam money from the poor Haitians trading on his association with you?

Absolutely, and this is why, I believe, the US Congress has been briefed on the findings. It means there is a good reason to get these answers. I don't think, “What difference does it matter now!” will work for Hillary during a campaign for president when the question concerns influence peddling - quid pro quo.

I believe the Clintons are toast. Although Hillabetch has tried to announce her candicy in a subdued manner, I think she and ilk are under-estimating the power of the Internet and social media. They think they can use it. I think they can't.

A billion here and a billion there for TV/Radio/Print Media may have some positive affect for her. What she doesn't realize is that many young voters know nothing of her but will learn of her lying, duplicitous, deceiving ways once they Google her. She's not only old, but old school politician. Google, Bing, Microsoft Explorer will NOT be her friend. The FCC's new regulations won't help her in the least.

Plus, the new crop of conservatives in the House, Senate, Governors, Assemblys are starting to talk.

Can't wait for Hillabetch to repeat the same ole while the new young conservatives make their points about how socialism has never worked and never will, as long as they do it so the common young or old person can relate.

My suggestion: Use Saul Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals" against them. No longer play nice since we are now at war for the future of our Nation. Give these socialist/communist/totalitarians bastards their own medicine.

Remember when Hillary was allowed to get a large advance on her book while still a senator but Newt Gingrich got in big trouble for the same thing as a Congressman?

Bob McDonnell, former Virginia governor, and his wife are in Prison for accepting a golf bag, a Rolex, an Armani dress, a $15k wedding gift to their daughter for giving, “access” to parties to a health food / nutritional supplement manufacturer in Virginia.

If the McDonnell’s are in prison for gifts for, “access” how can the Rodham-Clintons not be?

Remember when Hillary was allowed to get a large advance on her book while still a senator but Newt Gingrich got in big trouble for the same thing as a Congressman?

For the generation now rising that doesn't remember these incidents, it is important to note that Gingrich did nothing wrong. He is an historian by trade. He had already written several books and wanted to write another. He ran his plans by the ethics committee, shopped his proposal among the publishing companies, received competitive bids, and accepted a large advance. Everything was completely above board, in full accordance with House rules, but the dems howled anyhow, as they had an ongoing "get Newt" campaign underway that accused him of wrongdoing with every breath he took.

The House responded to the furor with a new rule saying that Members of the House could not take book advances. The Senate declined to do the same. Hillary then took a $6 million advance. Republicans pointed out the double standard, but there was hardly a ripple of interest in the MSM. I don't recall if Hillary's book proposal was competitively shopped, or if it was a sweetheart deal.

WASH/PO NEEDS TO RREPORT THIS--Is the Obama crowd gonna plead stupidity about US foreign policy being jerked around by the Clintons? What was the Obamatons cut of foreign policy finagling?

===============================================

THIS NEEDS MAJOR EXPOSURE After Obo named Tim Geithner to head Treasury, Obo placed Rham Emanuel in a dual role---(1) Obama's COS, and, (2) in total control of the US Treasury. Politician/crook Rham once toiled on Wall Street and knows financial thievery like he knows his own name.

GET THE RESEARCHERS ON THIS After Obo named Tin Geithner to head Treasury, Obo his then-COS Rham Emanuel in total control of the US Treasury. Politician/crook Rham once toiled on Wall Street and knows financial thievery like he knows his own name.

THE KINGPINS OF CHICAGO CRIMINAL POLITICS IN OUR WH wasted no time.....they had a stranglehold on the Census, AND the US Treasury, from day one.

The minute Obama/Valerie/Rahm/Axelrod/Geithner, and that Practiced bunch of Chicago criminals, landed in the WH they did two things that were apparently crucial to their evil plans

(a) they took control of the US Census;

(b) Obama placed his COS Rahm Emanuel in control of the US Dept of the Treasury (cabinet-level agency oversees IRS).

THE SMOKING GUN---WSJ REPORT--On Jan 20, 2009 Timothy Geithner was appointed Obama's Secy of the Treasury. But within three weeks, the Obama White House tightened its grip on Treasury. Obama put his COS, Rahm Emanuel, in charge of Treasury---Rahm Emanuel's dual role was an unusual move.

When he got to Treasury, WH COS Rahm Emanuel was so involved in the inner workings of the Treasury that the phrase "Rahm wants it" had become an unofficial mantra among subservient govt staffers, prostrate in obeisance, scurrying to accede to Rahm's wishes, according to Treasury government officials. THIS JUST IN---Judge Gladys Kessler of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia ordered the State Department to produce passenger manifests from 47 overseas trips that Mrs. Clinton made as secretary of state. Citizens United requested the manifests last July through a Freedom of Information Act Request.

There seems to be a solid connection between:

(1) donors to the Clinton Foundation,

(2) companies receiving contracts from foreign countries, and,

(3) Clinton Foundation donors receiving favorable treatment from the State Dept.

<><> Sixty companies contributed $26 million to the Clinton Foundation.

<><> Forty four of those companies also contributed to a $3.2 billion dollar fund established at the Clinton Global Initiative (a wing of the foundation).

<><> At least 25 companies made contributions to fifteen private/public partnerships set up by ex-Pres Clinton;

And who administered all of them?.......the State Department w/ Hillary at the helm.

===========================================

Congress needs to launch multiple investigations into Hillary’s State Dept tenure including that of her confidantes:

<><> expense accounts,

<><> use of federal credit cards,

<><> their participation in the State Dept's disbursement of funds to "private contractors;"

<><>her possible collusion with the Clinton Foundation--using classified info as an instrument for fund-raising.

Hillary's official calendar, and her contact with foreign leaders. will tell the tale of donations to the foundation....and the Clintons profiteering off secret intel.

=================================================

The Buckraking Clintons sucking up foreign donations is morally reprehensible----but the real crimes are what exactly they are doing with the corporate/foreign monies once its in their Foundation's tax-exempt coffers.

It's becoming clearer why Bill Clinton used a shocking 21 phone nos and email addresses----because L/E knows multiple phone no's and emails is an indication of possible money-laundering and tax evasion.

Hillary has been used to the quid pro quo of payoffs and kickbacks ever since her days of striking it rich in cattle futures. This is just a small taste of what we could expect with her in the white hut and Bubba raking in huge hordes fo cash for ‘speaking fees’.
