snag and bag, then when the owner appears, tell him you don’t know where his drone is.
Then keep shoving the video cam on it into the toilet somewhere..
Show it signs stating outrageous stuff like illogical ransom demands, strap it to a chair like in “clockwork orange”, just go nuts tormenting the perv.

Could a laser light be used to blind it?

So, peeping Toms around the country can rejoice.

Not a whole lot different from peeping toms creeping around your home ... even from sidewalk vantage points...and taking pictures. Nobody's going to get arrested there, either.

[[So, peeping Toms around the country can rejoice.]]

Hell, a court just ruled that a peeping tom ‘photographer’ was within his rights taking photos of people IN THEIR OWN HOMES, through their windows, and posting those photos in public in an ‘art exhibit’- The court just basically ruled to protect perverts/peeping toms

Good ole German 88 MM will do the job. :)

I have an English language translation of that gun's operating manual. That was indeed a nice piece of work! I was surprised with many features I didn't know about.

google got in trouble years ago for going around neighborhoods and driving up people’s driveways to photograph their houses- yet drones are allowed to fly feet away from windows on a house and photograph what’s going on inside the home? And police can’t stop it?

I’d get out the trusty Remmington Surface to Air 12 Gauge anti-drone device.

I believe it became illegal in Texas to capture images on private property using unmanned aircraft without the permission of the owner of said property. HB 912 provides, in relevant part:

Sec. 423.003. OFFENSE: ILLEGAL USE OF UNMANNED AIRCRAFT TO CAPTURE IMAGE.

(a) A person commits an offense if the person uses an unmanned aircraft to capture an image of an individual or privately owned real property in this state with the intent to conduct surveillance on the individual or property captured in the image.

(b) An offense under this section is a Class C misdemeanor.

HB 912, effective September 1, 2013.

It’s no different than climbing a ladder and putting a camera in someone’s window.

Lasers (like pointers) will overload the CCD of the camera as long as they are pointed at it. It takes more to do damage.

It should be. The general rule of property is that your property line extends upwards, with allowances for certain exceptions (which is typically air travel). There are exception s to the exception, generally around enjoyment of your property. So since this is a personally owned drone being flown above the neighbors' property and it's encroaching on their enjoyment of their property, I don't see how it's not tresspassing.

Fishing pole, lead sinker, 60lb test braided line.

That sounds like a great strategy. It wouldn't take many casts to hook a big one. The other option would be a pellet gun - that should be able to score a hit within a few shots too.
