Hillary Clinton called for 'toppling' the 1%
Business Insider ^ | 4/21 | Colin Campbell

Democratic presidential candidate and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said the US economy requires a "toppling" of the wealthiest 1%, according to a New York Times report published Tuesday.

Clinton reportedly made the comments in a meeting with economists earlier this year, when she was shown a graph that "charted how real wages, adjusted for inflation, had increased exponentially for the wealthiest Americans, making the bar so steep it hardly fit on the chart."

"Clinton pointed at the top category and said the economy required a 'toppling' of the wealthiest 1 percent, according to several people," writes The Times' Amy Chozick.

As I understand the definition, being in the top 1% is not a reference to income or net worth. Being in the “top 1%”, is strictly defined as being a conservative regardless of income or assets.

Mrs. Clinton was the original Elizabeth Warren, her advisers say

Now that's rich. Does that make her the real Fauxcahontas?

Here we go again! It’s an Obama “rerun”. Does anyone really want to go through another 4/8 years of is class warfare drivel?

She wants to do to America what she’s done to foreign relations.

All the same ol’, same ol’ protest groups that Obama loved and nurtured will come out of the closets and try the same ploys overe with hildebeast at the controls.

She was a rather homely looking teen, no doubt riddled with an inferiority complex, and is now pretending to have “class” to go with her power.

A small minded, angry individual, looking down on the rest of America.

You cannot help little men by tearing down big men.
You cannot lift the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer.
You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.
You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.

You’re being way too generous when you say Obama has nearly destroyed the American economy. He has totally destroyed the American economy and, for that matter, he has totally destroyed all of America. But he had a lot of accomplices - a large majority of the American people ! Future elections really do not matter. Irreparable damage has been done.

Well, BILL was an honorary member of the Keetoowah band of Cherokees in Oklahoma! some of them even tried to get a “reservation” set up at HOT SPRINGS so they could open a casino! Back in the 50s and 60s, Hot Springs had more illegal open gambling than anywhere I can think of!

A much better idea is to change our national tax policy to encourage the wealthy to invest in things that generate innovation and prosperity, instead of a policy which makes gambling immense sums of money profitable.

For example, one of the biggest threats to our economy is what is called the derivatives markets. They are almost indistinguishable from gambling, except they are hedged so that if you lose, you don’t lose much, but if you win, you win big.

These gambling markets do not generate prosperity or growth, just gigantic amounts of imaginary money, in the tens or even hundreds of trillions of dollars. Literally far more money than exists on Earth.

Yet governments are expected to clean up the mess once the bubble bursts, so as to preserve “too big to fail” financial institutions and multi-billionaires.

Our government should be crystal clear: if you want to bet, you have to with your own money, not someone else’s, and if you lose, you take the hit, not someone else.

And, on top of that, you have to pay hefty taxes to gamble.

However, if you want to invest that money in something good for the economy, your taxes will be significantly lower.

"16-page dossier titled 'Hillary Clinton: A Lifetime Champion of Income Opportunity"

Yes, her own. Left the White House dead broke (her analysis) and has amassed tens of millions since. Not working, mooching. Heard yesterday daughter Chelsea is buying a $10 mil. apt in New York.

These rich hypocrites make me sick. And the masses don't see the irony.

LOL. So she’s going to knock herself over and everyone she hangs out with. I love faux populism.

Only the dumbest among the voters will believe her (and yes, there are plenty of them). She's been a bag-lady for the "one percent" for decades. And her role as U.S Secretary of State allowed her to be the paid stooge of "one-percenters" in other countries, too.

John Steinbeck: “Socialism never took root in America because the poor see themselves not as an exploited proletariat but as temporarily embarrassed millionaires.”

And therein lies the Progressives’ problem....

I’d be happy to see her and her ilk in this category get toppled, and go away. It might be nice if they had to live like the majority of Americas do under their socialist policies.
