Kabar, he still says illegals can pay a fine and stay.

Obama is acting, not saying. Obama has two exective amnesties covering up to 6 million lawbreakers. The 2012 Dreamer amnesty has legalized, to date, 580,000 Dreamers giving them SSNs and work permits. He is in the process of giving another 5 million the same benefits. He provided it to 500,000 prior to being stopped by a judge temporarily. Obama is not enforcing our immigration laws. He released over 36,000 criminal aliens on to our streets in 2013 alone. He has given work permits to the spouses of H-1b visa holders. Where is your outrage? By 2016, amnesty will be a fait acompli. The only argument will be whether they should be put on to a path to citizenship or not.

The bigger problem is legal immigration. You can stop illegal immigration completely and this country will still be finished. I don't know where you have the 30 million illegal aliens from. Source please.

Do we really need more immigrants?

Kabar, illegal immigration has been my one driving force since the early 1990s. Once I realized our border was open and the illegals were pouring over, I attacked that reality.

You probably don’t follow me here. That’s okay.

I am what I would term quite angry over what Obama is doing, but at the same time the Republican party has been trying to do the same thing, so honestly, I’ve pretty much accepted and am merely waiting to watch the nation melt down.

What Walker is doing by lying to us really grates me. The man may have done good things. I know of some myself, and I have been very complimentary regarding those things.

Now he’s resorting to lying to us. That isn’t the tactic of a Conservative. This man is going to turn out to be another George Bush.

Kabar, they aren’t telling us the true figures. You need to realize that.

The revised census from 2000 set the figure at 9 million then. That was the accumulation in the prior ten years. We’re fifteen years down the road from there. Conservatively we’re talking 25 million now. Add in a few children to the mix, we’re easily talking 28 million.

In the 2000 to 2007 time frame, but talked up amnesty. When he did, particularly in the 2003-2004 time frame millions were coming across the border per years.

Time magazine pegged it at 3.5 million per year during that period.

I used to know a guy in the INS. He worked on the border and I found out from him that during one nine month period, over 900,000 illegals were captured in just one secter. That would be a 1.2 million annual rate.

The INS used to claim they could only capture about 10% of the people crossing the border. Think about that. 1.2 million were caught and what that would mean if it were only 10% of the total people crossing.

If you’re thinking only ten million are in country, I think you’re kidding yourself.

This person responded directly to my Post 3, in which I directed individuals to time sequences where they could listen to Scott say what I said he did.

Then this person asked me to tell them where to find it, because it wasn’t there.

It was. That’s why I was somewhat hostile.

Americans who want to succeed, and who want our country to succeed, need to consider Hillary's and Bill's devotion to the U.N. and to their multi-billion dollar slush fund, called the Clinton Global Initiative.

The Clintons and their backers look to the UN, and to George Soros, and to anti-American countries (who have a vested interest in a weak U.S. national defense [what Hillary and her administration in waiting call "SMART" national/international defense/diplomacy] and a weak U.S. economy).

When Americans (of all stripes) understand that this is where the Clinton's money and muscle comes from, they will understand why her election is so bad for them.

It couldn't be clearer and that is why the MSM is going along with Hillary's "Un-running" campaign.

I don't doubt your bona fides or passion one bit. You are living in the heart of the beast in CA, a once reliable GOP state and conservative when I lived in San Diego in the mid 60s. Legal immigration and illegal aliens have changed the state into an economic basket case. The education system has been wrecked. CA used to be the leader in so many areas and now it is in decline. Non-Hispanic whites are below 50% of the population; one in four is foreign born; and Hispanics are one third of the population. VDH's Mexifornia gave us a glimpse at the deterioration. CA is the canary in the coal mine.

I am what I would term quite angry over what Obama is doing, but at the same time the Republican party has been trying to do the same thing, so honestly, I’ve pretty much accepted and am merely waiting to watch the nation melt down.

Couldn't agree more. The issue that shows the starkest contrast between the GOPe and some conservatives is immigration. The corporate paymasters dictate policy. The MSM including Fox take the corporate line hence the attacks on Walker. American jobs for American workers is the kryptonite to the elites. The fact that we have a mainstream politician and possible candidate for President talking about legal immigration as it relates to jobs and American workers is very big. For me, whether Walker gets the nomination or not is not as important as this point of view being represented unapologetically on the national stage. Thew shrillness of the attacks against Walker for this position from both the Left and the right tells me that Walker is over the target. It could be the spark that Angelo M. Codevilla talked about between Washington's ruling class and the country class. America’s Ruling Class — And the Perils of Revolution -- The only serious opposition to this arrogant Ruling Party is coming not from feckless Republicans but from what might be called the Country Party -- and its vision is revolutionary.

What Walker is doing by lying to us really grates me. The man may have done good things. I know of some myself, and I have been very complimentary regarding those things. Now he’s resorting to lying to us. That isn’t the tactic of a Conservative. This man is going to turn out to be another George Bush.

I don't share that view. I think he is a politician who knows how to compete with the Left, which lies all the time and is never held accountable. Walker has executive experience and is a pragmatist. His view on immigration coincides with the view of the majority of Americans. Walker is not as bright or eloquent as Cruz. He also lacks foreign policy knowledge and experience, which Cruz has. Cruz thinks better on his feet and is a formidable debater. I could live with Walker or Cruz. Hillary is the alternative. That said, I will no longer hold my nose and vote Rep if Jeb Bush, Rand Paul, et. al. are the nominees.

My point is that we should direct our fire at everyone other than Walker or Cruz. As this process moves along, we need to rally around one of them. I fear the conservative vote will be split between them allowing the GOPe to nominate its candidate once again.

Kabar, they aren’t telling us the true figures. You need to realize that.

I realize it very well. I work with NumbersUSA, CIS, FAIR, and others. There are various reasons why these groups use the USG figures. Principally, it is to defend themselves against attacks by the Left and the MSM. It is far more difficult for them to dispute USG data, which is still bad enough to make the case about the damage immigration is doing to the country.

I use 12 to 20 million as being more realistic. There was a Bear-Stearns report a number of years ago that estimated 20 million using such things as school statistics. I know the USG estimates are understated as do most of the people engaged in the movement. We have contacts with the BP who tell us that for every one they catch, three get in. People are going back and forth. The Mexican drug cartels have spotters on our side of the border helping to direct traffic into the country. The border is a no-man's land.

I agree with almost all your post, and then the disagreement is genial with you.

You speak of shunning all but Walker and Cruz. I can understand that sentiment. If we head into the first primary or caucus doing supporting them both, Bush wins. Hands down, it will happen just like it has every time since Bush I was president.

WE CAN NOT MAKE THIS MISTAKE AGAIN.

I know that folk think I am being supremely unfair to Walker who has done some good things in the past. I am not.

His policy hasn’t changed. He said they could stay. I can’t ignore that. And when he says he has changed, he’s not telling the public the truth. I get no joy from saying this. I wish I didn’t have to point it out. It’s the truth, and those who are honest with themselves will know I’m not making this up. He said it. It is what it is.

He has made a big deal out of the fact that he is strong on immigration. It’s a ruse. He doesn’t mean it, and he knows he doesn’t mean it. So acting like he’s big man on campus because of his new and improved immigration stance is a lie.

I don’t care if it’s Obama, McCain, or Walker lying to me, it angers me all the same. Walker has become nothing more than a big disappointment.

I’ll stick with a guy that hasn’t lied to me, and the group I identify with.

I appreciate your nice response. Wish we could agree on this, but what the hey...

Thanks for the mention.

With the U. S. Census bureau stating that nine million were here in 2010 (also a low ball figure in my estimation), I can’t believe that we only have 3 to 11 million more here after 15 more years.

I appreciate you mentioning your thoughts on it and the reasons for it.

Admittedly he has been morphing on this subject, but he clearly has a superior perspective NOW. Let’s please encourage that. Maybe other candidates will do the same?

It’s all smoke and mirrors Rockitz.

He’s simply saying what you want to hear, then keeping his old police operational.

I have absolutely no reason whatsoever to go after a guy that has truly changed. He hasn’t. He tells the public that with his own mouth, then denies it.

It’s double talk.

Yes, it’s a big issue. And if someone is going to lie to me regarding this issue, he’s done.

Let’s take him at his word until he proves us wrong. When other candidates see what get’s traction they will morph also. Then, at least, we’ll have a choice of who to believe.

He also said he favored “making sure the legal immigration system is based on making our No. 1 priority to protect American workers and their wages.’’

The more he repeats it, the more it becomes who he is and the more difficult it is for him to back away.
