I don’t believe this story. Union workers and the media that props them up lie!
Lol. I read North Charleston plant and South Carolina and “NC” is what came out of my brain.
What probably happened was multiple thugs, errrr.. leaders showed up and tried to intimidate someone into voting for the union, with an implied threat like "we know where you live, nice truck you have there".
Maybe a good tactic for dealing with incessant door knockers, just strap on your holster and gun then answer the door, probably won’t work though on JW’s or Mormons.
Sooner or later the union thugs are gonna figure out that we don't like unions in South Carolina.

Iffen they’s anythang us down here in SOUTH Carolina hates worsen a union organizer it’s somebody what says NORTH Carolina when ‘ey oughta be sayin’ South Carolina. Ain’t nuttin’ wrong wit’ North Carolina but we ain’t dem, try callin’ ‘em Tarheels Sandlappers an’ ‘ey ain’t gonna like ‘at either.
Greeting salesmen with a shotgun in hand is an old South Carolina tradition. (I made that up.)

Well, I suspect that the attitude toward guns, gun banners, and union organizers is comparable between NC and SC (or at least I hope it is).
