It Won’t Be Hillary (she's doomed and the Rats don't have anybody else alert)
American Spectator ^ | April 24, 2015 | Scott McKay

Peter Schweizer’s book will finish off doomed Clinton campaign. Who else do Dems have?

Honestly, it shouldn’t be a surprise that Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign won’t go any further than — if it even gets as far as — her ill-fated 2008 attempt at returning to the White House. After all, Clinton isn’t a more attractive candidate now than she was then, and after two terms of a failed Democrat president one would think it would require a candidate with real political skill to keep a Democrat installed at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Clinton, unlike her glib husband, has no such talent. Last week’s amateurish and clumsy “rollout” to her presidential bid showed she has no more aptitude for retail politics than she has for messaging. Want proof? This woman, who touched off guffaws nationwide by claiming she and Bill were “dead broke” upon leaving the White House (with silverware in tow) in 2001, decided to offer herself as a champion of the little people as the key theme of her campaign.

If ever there was an ill-fitting and ill-considered elevator pitch for a political candidate, it’s the narrative of Hillary Clinton as the defender of ordinary Americans.

Romney is a Republican. He was a Republican. He is in no way a conservative. He would not have brought us anything useful in Washington. He would have done nothing to ameliorate the socialist proclivities of the Bureaucracy. He would have alienated his supporters and lost Congress after two years. Romney could have won the election, even so, if he had not lay down. The fix has been "in" since Bush II left. And he is pure. He is purely Republican.

“..and simply cannot get off”
The Clintons’ corruption is like a ponzi or a pyramid scheme, once rolling, it has to grow or collapse. Their crimes are so ever increasingly profound that they need to control an ever higher office to contain and hide the mess. Their quest is for power to protect themselves from their evils...

“They are probably waiting for her to bow out before they jump in. If she does withdraw they will come out of the woodwork.”

Think there is a bigger issue here. If Hillary Clinton is the best the Democrats have to offer to govern 300 million Americans, it is more of an indictment of a media complex, whose job it is to provide oversight than it is a candidate everyone with a brain knows is neither qualified nor capable.

At this point the U.S. is dead. A corpse. The Dems will live off the corpse for 15 perhaps 20 years as they devour what took 200 years to build in a single generation. It will be gone as every other great empire in the past is gone; done in as always by those who buy the votes of the many by giving away the capital of the few.

Since when does inexperience matter to DemocRATS? I would refer you to one Barack Hussein Obama.

I think her campaign will gradually deflate, like an old whoopee cushion. No prospective candidate in history has had a critical book arrive this early.
Clinton Cash will become Clinton Crash.

What if she never intended to try and win? What if she just wants amnesty for past and additional big bucks?

Yeah, Flick. This country is the Walking Dead. So what happens in 20 years, the rise of local war lords? Or do we just get nuked by our own damn plutonium?

The Democrats have a huge problem regarding results. They have none they can point to. Debates and political ads will destroy them.

The so-called “recovery” is a mess. Food stamp participation is at an all time high. Work force participation is at a historical low.

The porous border with Mexico is allowing criminals, terrorists, welfare collectors and drugs into the nation.

Our foreign policy punishes our allies and supports our enemies.

Race relations are at a historical low point. Our liberal cities are crumbling.

The IRS and the EPA are now deeply partisan political tools.

Most importantly, a majority of likely voters now understand the Democrat lies and are looking for a new direction.

The Democrat candidate will eventually need to talk about issues. Failure is their only result.

The author of this article is dead wrong.

Rush Limbaugh threw in the towel yesterday—Essentially declaring that Hillary! has a lock on the nomination and the Presidency. The Republicans shouldn’t even bother showing up.

I’m going to go back to my Limbaugh-free afternoon policy—I get more done that way.

He certainly is available...

From the excerpt: "make the best of what’s likely to be a rough patch for a couple of seasons until the salary cap problems are past. When the leadership of the Democratic Party is found in the Hillary Clintons, Harry Reids, Nancy Pelosis, Joe Bidens, John Kerrys, and Al Gores of the world, and the Democrats’ bench has been badly depleted in the last few election cycles, there are no young stars on the way up."

To know the future, look to the past. I can only imagine some rough analog to what followed after the fall of Rome. The collapse of an empire and the rise of the City States like Venice or medieval walled cities.

Perhaps it won't all be bad. Just as the monks of the Middle Ages saved fragments of past learning from the Romans and Greeks, maybe whoever follows us will save artifacts of our knowledge. Instead of parchment scrolls it will be hard drives.

Endless cycles of growth and enlightenment followed by decline and Dark Ages. Sounds a bit like Asimov's "Foundation Trilogy", come to think of it.

“Obama committed political suicide in 2008? “

The Democratic environment has become remarkably non-diverse with fewer and much richer contributors. The Clintons has sewn up that entire ecology. Obama’s money came from the Arab states so he was not dependent on the Clintons for money and support. Also, in Contract Entitlement Politics a black trumps a female.

In 6 months it will be old news and after all, “what difference at this point, does it make?”

Exactly ... I can tell you that when I travel down Rt. 95 from NH to Mass for work I am already seeing a lot of "Hillary 2016" bumper stickers.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know that bumper stickers don't usually equate into winning the election, but is sure did in the last 2 elections.

Also don't forget about all the "new" voters being registered by ICE as the illegals stream in across the boarder ... they will be formidable.

And don't forget the RINO factor with the repubs picking another Bush in the primaries. The conservatives will just drive straight to work on the Tuesday morning in November instead of stopping off to vote.
