“Korsun non-event”

Korsun, and the following Odessa Massacre, were the two major trigger events for the Civil War, after the coup.

Putin acknowledged that Korsun was what made him decide to retake Crimea.

I wouldn’t even attempt to call it a “Non-event”, that would be very disingenuous.

These Putin bootlickers on FR have done more damage to the Russian cause than anything.

Their repeated Russian lies, Putin lies, ignorance and denying of reality brings out a cold war hatred for Russia and Russians.

Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, his low rent threats to sell AAA technology to Iran.

We should make the Baltics and Urkrain full members of NATO and call their bluff. We should destabilize southern Russia with covert Chechnya insurgency and further drive down oil prices and humiliate them even more than their failed economy does now.

I’m just saying that I don’t trust either side. I don’t like the Russians and don’t trust the ukies enough to support sending troops and/or expensive equipment. If they want to buy tanks, choppers, guns, ect then that’s ok.

I don’t trust either side.

Here is an example of what else Russia reports.

https://twitter.com/russiannavyblog/status/589009848236388352

Russian national TV network operated by Russian Ministry of Defence claims that 4 US soldiers under Lieutenant General Hodges raped 12 & 13 year old girls in Kiev. Do you believe that too?

Did I say I believed the Russians? Don’t try to twist my words. That’s dishonest.

Why is it that if someone does not support the ukies in this fight then that person must be a Russian troll or putinista?

Those Right Sector prisoners from the Airport ...

Wrong, as usual :))

Some Right Sector people were in the Airport, but the Cyborgs almost all are troops of the 79th, 93rd and 95th brigades. Given the hard-on that the Russians have for the Right Sector, the fact that Ukrainian soldiers are still alive in the video, suggests that they're from those brigades.

Part of Russian motif is to blame everything on the Right Sector.

Putin can use any justification he wants for the Russian war against Ukraine - be it abusive father, oppression of Russians and Korsun Massacre, or the price of tea in China. None of them valid.

Korsun Non-Event is a better description than Massacre. By the way, “massacre” is a terrible translation of the Russian phrase which itself is an exaggeration. (Russians use the word “pogrom”. Get it? Russians suffering like the Jews ;)

If you like, you can call it, “Stoppage of a Bus transporting titushki back to Crimea from Kyiv (where they in tandem with Berkut were murdering protesters on Maidan on live TV) during which some of them were beaten by the incensed Ukrainian locals and humiliated, but otherwise NONE have been killed.” — sorry if it’s not as sexy as “Korsun Massacre”

If you do want to see a video of murder by a mob, there’s a beating of a pro-Ukrainian group in Donetsk. The victim there is an actual person with a name.

Exactly, you don’t see Poles using Volhynia as justification to invade Ukraine.

“OK...SO tell me why I should believe obvious Kiev Propaganda about this?”

1) Because there are no bodies.
2) Because there’s no video of anyone being killed even though there’s plenty of video of the event.
3) Because none of the people who say their comrades who lived with them, worked with them, went to school with them, and ideologically agreed with them, can name a single person who was supposedly killed. Strange don’t you think?
4) Because not a single family member of those supposedly murdered came forward to say their father, brother, son, cousin, brother-in-law, or husband was one of the people supposedly killed.
5) Because the police of that region say no one was killed.
6) Because the hospitals and morgues received no bodies or reports of bodies.
7) Because the government there says no one was murdered.

“And why I should believe this, and not Amnesty, or the Red Cross?”

Does Amnesty or the Red Cross have the bodies hidden under their beds? Unless someone can show me some bodies, I have no reason to believe there was a massacre. And, remember, I’m not even saying that no one was killed. I’m just saying, “Where is the evidence that there was a massacre?” Where is it?

Why would Poland need the headache of being a Russian neighbour? There’s a Putin biker who wants ride Europe, everywhere where the mighty Red Army was victorious, Poland denied him entry. But he’s Russian, they can’t be denied, so he said he’ll find a way. Who wants to deal with this? Being a Russian neighbour is that, times a hundred. Poland will discover it was oppressing minorities it didn’t know it had.

“Why is it that if someone does not support the ukies in this fight then that person must be a Russian troll or putinista?”

Because the Ukrainians are repelling a Russian invasion of Crimea and Eastern Ukraine that happened on the heels of a Russian inspired, led, and financed rebellion in those places. Russians have seized and now occupy the Crimea. Let the Ukrainians run Ukraine. If you oppose that idea, then you can only be a “Russian troll or putinista”.

Do you have any other questions?

Pretty presumptive, narrow minded, black and white view you have.
I guess if I don’t support the Free Syrian Army I am in love and support Bashir Al Asad.

“Pretty presumptive, narrow minded, black and white view you have.”

Nope. It’s just the truth. The Russians said Crimea belonged to Ukraine. Now they say it belong to Russia. In between they occupied the region. What part of that is not true? Oh, right, it’s all true. Everything I said was and IS true.

“I guess if I don’t support the Free Syrian Army I am in love and support Bashir Al Asad.”

Nope. Try with a better analogy.

The Russians said Crimea belonged to Ukraine.

Khrushchev gave Crimea to the "Ukrainian SSR", which for all intents and purposes, still was ruled by Moscow, it was a meaningless gesture in context of how the former Soviet Union was structured.
