I love Mexican food. No apologies needed for it. Ever.
The real message: Mexicans are evil, so do not eat their food. Whether the libs intended to broadcast such a notion or not.
So...just what kind of food IS served aboard UFOs?
So ‘aliens’ don’t like mexican food?
It sounds as though the planers of the “College Night” might have come from the “Sombrero” galaxy.
the protest....sure reads like science fiction
What if they had served Polish or Thai food? Would that have been racist too? I, insensitive lout that I am, have NEVER associated any type of food with science fiction or space aliens.
Ah, aliens is the key here! Talk about someone looking for something to complain about.
VW named one of their vehicles Toureg. The Toureg were an ancient tribe who had slaves. The Left demanded the name be changed and an apology. The president of VW said something along the lines of, “They can kiss my @$$” but in German, of course. That was the end of it. I think that should be the standard answer, in whatever language is appropriate.
I’ll say it again - “academics” are often the most reactionary, narrow-minded, and bureaucratic people out there.
The parabolic shape of the tacos was meant to illustrate the theoretical models for curved space ... now shut up you anti-Mexican food racists!
In a way it’s funny to see the left constantly having to walk on the eggshells that they themselves have strewn about but then I’m also saddened at what this country is becoming.
Heck, practically all the food you could serve would have roots elsewhere. Spaghetti? Frankfurters? Beef Lo Mein? Ham and cabbage? Almost anything besides a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
I would ding them for being unimaginative. Bring in some Tang and some Space Food Sticks! That’s what you have in outer space!
Reminds me of when James Watt got in trouble for using the word niggardly or the student who was expelled for calling a black girl a water buffalo (it sounded like water melon). It’s tough when you deal with incompetents.
“As a result of this incident, I will require cultural competence training for Programs staff”
Our staff hasnt been thoroughly brainwashed. We will see to it that they will be the compliant robots theyre supposed to be by making them sit through our indoctrination course.
Mind control (also known as brainwashing, reeducation, coercive persuasion, thought control, or thought reform) is a theoretical indoctrination process which results in “an impairment of autonomy, an inability to think independently, and a disruption of beliefs and affiliations. In this context, brainwashing refers to the involuntary reeducation of basic beliefs and values”.
Theories of brainwashing and of mind control were originally developed to explain how totalitarian regimes appeared to systematically indoctrinate prisoners of war through propaganda and torture techniques.

These incidents are nothing more than narcissism writ large. "Hey, look at me! I'm a victim too!"
We went to one of our favorite Mexican restaurants Thursday night around 7pm. It’s a popular place and should’ve been hopping. It was dead. Hope it doesn’t go away.
While the one above is kind of “Americanized” ...big, clean, well lit, jazzed up menu/dishes...our other favorite is an older, worn little place over in the “Little Mexico” section of town where nobody speaks English...not even the customers. But, great food...and cheap.
Very insensitive menu choice.
Any compasionate, feeling, diversity oriented person would know that the correct menu choice would be Wonderbread and Miricle Whip sandwiches.
I would close down the following:

There is no way you are going to increase “the cultural intelligence (CQ) of our staff.”
From the stupid letter: I am working closing with Donnae Smith, Coordinator for Diversity and Inclusion for Colleges, Housing and Educational Services (CHES) to continue to increase the cultural intelligence (CQ) of our staff.
