Situation is what it is and it doesn't change anything. All I can do is keep fighting the good fight. I'm not big on giving up. You may have noticed that.

I won't give up on Texas. There is plenty of work to do.

I see people on here all the time bragging on Texas. I’m a Texan. We have Cornyn. We’re a long way from perfect.

... Yet, you do have an issue with Ted Cruz because he voted against Cloture, then left before the confirmation vote?
Do you think he would have voted Yes?
Use some common sense.

Very good explanation of what happened in re Cruz!

We're a lot better off than when LBJ and his boys ran the government in Texas.

Instead of crying in their beer, I wish people would look at how much better Texas is today, and how much more conservative than it was just 20 years ago, much less 40.

This is long-term. Short term don't cover it.

Beats giving up.

Senate rules recorded him as voting “NO”.

I wish they would have had somebody solid to run against Cornholio in the primary last year.

Actually Texas was very conservative in the old days. It was run by dixiecrats. There are a lot of dixiecrat first cousins running things now. They’re called rinos.

But, yeah, it’s better than having a left winger in charge. But I wish we could get some real conservatives elected.

I lived in this neighborhood (house next door) when minorities had to be out by dark or face legal action, like getting a ticket or worse.

You bet it's better.

My girl is allowed to stay past dark without the liberals having a say in the matter.

Liberals supported that. Not conservatives.

John Cornyn is a disingenuous scumbag. I emailed him yesterday to tell him I will support anyone who challenges him in the primary. Further, I will vote against him in the general even if that means I have to vote for a dem. Retire now Johnny.
