Twitter started buzzing just before the President spoke at tonight's White House Correspondents Dinner, claiming that CNN was telling their viewers who wanted the news, particularly about the rioting in Baltimore, that they could totally get that news. From, you know, Twitter. CNN Political Commentator Errol Louis addresses the elephant on the computer screen.
"This is always about choices, right? I mean you know, you have to make a decision, what are you gonna do with this two hours of time. And we, you know, CNN made it's decisions, and is sticking to it's plan and so forth," says Louis. He then notes you can find out on Twitter what the Baltimore police are saying, or search for an online feed. "You can find out what you want to find out," he says. If not for airports broadcasting CNN it would not have any viewership in the US. When Cable TV adopts a-la-cart programming, which it will have to do in order to compete with the internet, CNN will be a memory.
Back to the simulator!
CNN >>> Turner Broadcasting >>> Time Warner (regime affiliate)
The very few times I’ve gone on Twitter, I was overwhelmed by what you just described; 94% of the topics I don’t know or care about, and there is heavy redundancy, often with the very same tweet being posted six or seven times, except this time with Emoticoms. Too busy and too silly for me at this time.
Oh. I see. "Its" an affirmative action hire.
