Twitter started buzzing just before the President spoke at tonight's White House Correspondents Dinner, claiming that CNN was telling their viewers who wanted the news, particularly about the rioting in Baltimore, that they could totally get that news. From, you know, Twitter. CNN Political Commentator Errol Louis addresses the elephant on the computer screen.
"This is always about choices, right? I mean you know, you have to make a decision, what are you gonna do with this two hours of time. And we, you know, CNN made it's decisions, and is sticking to it's plan and so forth," says Louis. He then notes you can find out on Twitter what the Baltimore police are saying, or search for an online feed. "You can find out what you want to find out," he says. "The most powerful man in the world is going to tell some jokes."
You can find out what's going on in the news news, just not from CNN, he suggests. He then adds one of the greatest things ever said on CNN:

Choices based on the truth, did that ever cross your mind?
So, Errol, how long have you worked for CNN, not counting today?
CNN was founded by Ted Turner. Why would anyone expect an institution founded by a decadent lowlife to be noble. Analogous to the vile Henry VIII who founded the Anglican/Episcopal church. Look how that institution devolved to the level of its founder.
THIS ... IS CNN.
Hong Kong, Rio, what’s the diff ?
Not Twitter. The statements are way too short and formulaic. Better to send these news hungry masses to Free Republic, Twitchy, Lucianne or Drudge for the real deal. Tell them to bring a large wooden bowl, for a big helping of HOT news!
Might be too much for them to handle hearing the truth instead of the fantastical falsehoods brought to them by the alphabet soup of Stalinist propagandists and news-readers.
I remember just after the Iraq invasion when the CEO of CNN had to admit about spiking News out of Iraq for a decade becuase our troops were going to start finding some very disturbing things...like the white lion childrens prison and the rape rooms and mass graves......they KNEW about it and covered it up in exchange for access to Saddam.
They are vermin.
So, CNN is not in the news business any more?
To show video of what is really happening is racist.
lol
I remember one night during the invasion, ABC showed very disturbing video of Hussein and sons forcing men to dance while swords and pokers were stabbed into their heads. Apparently there were bets on how they lived.
This was VIDEO and they showed it only once I think.
I went to Yahoo, I don’t see it on their front page either
Those two sons of Hussein were incredibly depraved. When I hear those sort of stories, I’m even happier that we invaded so many years ago, inspite of the bumpy ride that has followed. I recall hearing about prisons full of children. That really bothered me, and I was so glad when W. Bush drove Hussein out of position.
Well, FO then.
Yer pretty useless anyway.
Kinda like my GPS for the car. After using Waze I hate my GPS
The community is faster at road conditions and more relevant.
So it is with news.
I leave Tulsa and not 3 hrs later I’m getting txts my Mom, Brother and Sister are fine.
The news however doesn’t inform me where the freakin tornadoes and hail went but, seems friends in Sand Springs Txt’d my family to inform them what was going on and in Owasso nothing was happening.
Didn’t need the news but had to explain climate, micro climate and how far apart Owasso and Sand Springs are.
Then she got scared and worried about getting caught in a tornado.
I looked up at clear blue skies and laughed.
She didn’t think it was funny and was actually scared.
Realized she didn’t know how tornadoes work. Had to explain where they derive their power and in blue skies, like lightning, we’re pretty much safe with almost no probabilities for a tornado without a cloud.
Had to wait until Elk City,OK and she asked a local who repeated what I said.
They were to busy putting Michelle that wonder woman with her Shirley temple hairstyle and fish scale gown she was oozing out of.
“I remember just after the Iraq invasion when the CEO of CNN had to admit about spiking News out of Iraq for a decade”
I forgot about that. Man when you add sins up together it’s really shocking, even to those of us who pay attention every day.
The toothless CNN lapdogs chose to cover the Washington Press Nerd Prom rather than a riot.
TWB
In other words, if it’s black, it leads.
I made a choice years ago to not watch CNN.
