- Take their guns away. Make them walk beats with night sticks and radios.

Pardon me, ma'am, but what small town do you live in? Because trust me on this, no one who lives in a large city wants their cops disarmed.

Well, this was a quick response to police brutality.
The act was on April 9th of this year. But the problem here is that the “aggrieved party”( who appears to be a nut case) now has $650k of the taxpayers money, but we still don’t know what’s happened to the cops involved. Now, if you have paid out this amount of money, you have to have a good idea of who did what to whom, so why is there a delay? On that score, I agree with you, and the public needs to read exactly what punishment has been given. In this case, for $650k, a number (maybe even all) of the cops need to be fired and tried.

“Fine. Post 47: “I have a bias towards the protestors”. Bring me back a pair of Nikes, size 10.”

No. Post #57 you stated .....

“You admit to being a supporter of rioting criminals.”

Show me that quote where I admitted to supporting rioting criminals.

Well excuse me Lil’ Miss but I think you should go back to your quilting circle with the other frightened womenfolk.

“Because trust me on this, no one who lives in a large city wants their cops disarmed.”

No one means no one. And I’m sure we can dig up a few law abiding citizens in large cities that would rather see “THEIR” police walking in pairs, on bicycles with no guns and just night sticks and radios.

The police have been getting progressively worse for a long time - way before Obama. He’s stoking riots...but riots were bound to happen with too many police acting like fascist animals. They were protected by the Unions and criminal justice system. It was wrong to let it get like this.

Only in Baltimore - they won’t even pretend to stop the ferals.

Then they will live in a burned out and dead city. If that is what they want, so be it. Cities suck.

I’m sure there’s a procedure followed by police when there’s a death - and that it’s being followed.

But...

IF every time a criminal - black white or other - was killed - every police officer with 50 feet was arrested there wouldn’t be enough police to keep the peace.

That said, police are over represented in the black community because so many blacks are criminals. Criminals don’t want the police around - and frankly I don’t want my taxes used for the police to babysit the black community either.

We all pay taxes for police protection - but close to 80% of police resources are spend in the black community. The first step to decrease the number of police in those communities is to help blacks BUY private security systems like other races have to do ( and I don’t mean help them financially - send them brochures) . Then assist the black community with setting up ‘crime watch’ programs.

Let black families protect themselves... like the rest of us have to do... Or let them hire security guards - or start doing a better job raising their sons.

Only the State has the authority to take life. The law enforcement police are officers of the State or a municipality under the State assigned to enforce the law. They have the authority to use deadly force to enforce the law if required. That is why they wear a sidearm.

Removing deadly force from law enforcement simply gives more power to those other than the State.

FWIW, the person killed in custody also had a history of over 22 arrests in his 7 yrs as an adult without any reference to offenses as a minor.

It strongly appears this racist Administration is doing everything possible to foment riots throughout the US and not exercising authority to enforce the law, thereby creating civil disorder and anarchy, which would justify their removing our freedom to enforce peace by tyranny.

Freedom without authority is anarchy. Authority without freedom is tyranny.

The situation is simple. Law enforcement has the authority to use deadly force when required to protect the sanctity of freedom, property, and life. If their ability to use force is removed, anarchy will evolve.

Agreed - but it is not just law enforcement that has that authority, we do too. (Although state law varies).

Lol, the people “protesting” would beat you into a vegetative state, and sleep fine tonight, if they thought they could get away with it.

If we take life independent of the State, then the State arrests us for murder or manslaughter. That’s why the names on the docket in such cases are between the accused and the State.

“...when required to protect the sanctity of freedom, property, and life.”

Not in my state. It is then “justifiable homicide”.

Thoughtful post but I start disagreeing starting at the second paragraph.

Police are given deference by DA’s and Judges and even higher authorities. Then after that, they enjoy a certain amount of immunity in actions performed while carrying out their duties. Because of this, they also deserve extra scrutiny and to be judged at a higher standard when ‘weird’ things happen.

If all you have is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail.

I’m sure there’s a procedure followed by police when there’s a death - and that it’s being followed”

I can guarantee you that it is not the same policy that it would be if everyone involved were mere peasant citizens.

IF every time a criminal - black white or other - was killed - every police officer with 50 feet was arrested there wouldn’t be enough police to keep the peace.””

If it was mere peasant citizens involved, they would ALL BE ARRESTED for the Death, and unless someone talked , they would ALL BE PROSECUTED and Most likely Convicted.

I DO NOT BELIEVE IN SPECIAL RIGHTS FOR ANY ONE, Why do you??

Sig Heil

A few protesters and rioters, and police are already catching injuries. And yet somehow the Powers that Be think they can cow ALL OF AMERICA with our guns in our hands.

With these rioters, the police are forbidden to open fire, even in self defense. They know any who do fire, will be crucified.

Against Tea Party people, their orders will be to shoot-to-kill at the least resistance.

What color were these suspended cops? Why am I having trouble finding an article that lists their race?

White criminals are killed in this country by police too.

Asian criminals are shot... and sometimes killed. Hispanic criminals are killed by police sometimes.

Crime's a dangerous occupation.

That's a difference: ALL other races understand crime's a dangerous occupation. None of the rest of us riot when a criminal is shot. Why do blacks identify with the criminals who live in their neighborhoods?

None of us want the police acting as judge, jury and executioner... obviously. But the rest of us don't burn buildings down when a criminal of our race is killed.

Why do blacks react as if every criminal killed is 'them'... It's a mystery to people who aren't black. Maybe you can explain it eyemok.

Can you tell me eyemok?

Why do blacks riot when a black criminal is killed... and why don't members of every other race riot when one of their criminals is killed?
