LOS ANGELES >> AT&T Inc. on Tuesday confirmed that it has fired Aaron Slator, a president who became the subject of a $100 million discrimination lawsuit for using his work phone to send racially offensive images.
"There is no place for demeaning behavior within AT&T and we regret the action was not taken earlier," the company said.

I think black still trumps LGBTQ.
OK, I posted something before i did an internet search on Knoyme King. I found nothing. I mean nothing. So she didn’t have a bio, a linkedin account, facebook, anything. So, my guess is now after googling the name that she was Not a manager as I thought before. She was most likely a staff associate, basically a clerk typist. The reason she was never promoted to 1st level management is, she didn’t have a degree nor could she pass the MDAP management assessment test. And her raises were union driven.
And even if she were a manager and her raises were low, it’s based on her performance and her ability to get along with others. It’s an assessment of many factors: Productivity, accountability, personality, peer review, customer input/surveys, sales quotas, etc for marketing. Basically if you piss everyone off, your evaluations will come in low and they will impact your raises. She should have transferred to another department.
As for Aaron, to bad, so sad. Should have known better
“This is unusual for at&t to NOT have taken action on someone like this fast.”
In this society, you’re correct. A 4K cctv unedited video of her planting it wouldn’t be enough. He’d be better off dead.
Just called a guy i know in marketing with att and he said she took the buyout just recently and she was a deuce (2nd level). She was a content coordinator (has to do with programming and shows) working on the Direct TV merger. The merger is a big deal because it will save att billions from finishing the Uverse buildout. Slator is important in the process. The merger isn’t completed yet. There may have been personality issues. that’s all he said, can’t say anymore
At my employer, there was a black woman and a white man who had a debate on LGBTA rights. I was quiet, because I really didn’t like the */?! but had to work with him.
The black woman finally argued that you couldn’t compare lesbian/gay to black civil rights struggles, because there wasn’t a history of discrimination and oppression, and there was an element of choice.
This became a big spat, and the white guy won by saying “there are more of you than me”, AKA, more blacks than LBGTA.
The black woman’s contract was not renewed due to this incident. The LBGTA later transitioned to a female, and “it” remained with the company.
But LBGTA did trump racial minority in that case.
Wisdom there.
I teach my kids the 3 cardinal rules of communication. 1) Don’t say it if you don’t want it repeated, 2) Don’t write it down if you don’t want it read, 3) Don’t take a picture of it if you don’t want it shared.
“Retire Quickly” LOL.
Meme is funnier than hell
Theft of what? If you read the article it says Slater asked her to transfer data from his phone to a new one. So let's see ... Slater has a picture like that and hands his phone to his black secretary and asks her to transfer data? And this is a President in a company that prides itself on being black-friendly, gay-friendly, gender identity friendly, etc He is pretty stupid for a President.
“...Slater has a picture like that and hands his phone to his black secretary and asks her to transfer data? And this is a President in a company that prides itself on being black-friendly, gay-friendly, gender identity friendly, etc He is pretty stupid for a President.”
More likely he left it unattended and she scoured it for anything she could get on him. As someone else said, it is not beyond the realm of possibility that it was planted.
If she had been there for 3 decades, she had job security and could have gotten a transfer and found a place in a huge multinational corproation where she had more of a future and people with whom she felt more comfortable.
But with the palpable influence of Marxism/Leninism in our culture, it is the Left’s MO to change the people to suit their agenda rather than move to a more suitable environment.
And those who do not go along to get along are sent to the Gulag. Why do you think that the Gaystapo is deliberately targeting the very small number of declared Christian bakers?
This is a war and the Left is playing for keeps.
ironic that companies like MCI (now Verizon) and AT&T )old Ma Bell) made bukkoo bucks transmitting porn in earlier days,, so its ok for their services to promote services like that while telling their own management to rein it in.
when sharks eat their own.. well,, priceless.
The article doesn’t say she took the phone. It says the president gave it to her and asked her to transfer data. So it is even worse and indicates he was not too smart. This woman will milk as much money as she can get out of this big company who bends over big time to appear black friendly.
I know what the article says and don’t believe it. That article and other ones on the subject makes make vague references to attempts at getting rid of her or having her transferred.
Anyone who has dealt with being in a bureaucracy will recognize that this is what happens with a person who doesn’t play well with others and/or is disgruntled.
As the AT&T employee in this thread pointed out, this person would need a MBA to advance, but she is playing the race card instead and trying to get a big lottery payoff.
Given the current climate — particulary that facts don’t matter if you are smeared with the Scarlet Letter of Racism — she likely will win at least some of what she’s demanding.
The squeaky wheel gets the grease — especially if it’s a member of a Designated Victim group.
believe what you want. Make up your own story.
There is a difference between believing what one wants, making up a story and having skepticism about what one is being told based upon the credibility of the source and personal experience in similar situations.
To swallow whole an account from an agendized Establishment Media w/o question is less than optimal.
