HOUSTON Jeb Bush said undocumented workers should be able to come out of the shadows, pay a fine, work, and eventually gain earned legal status in a speech to a major Hispanic evangelical organization Wednesday.
Speaking to the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference (NHCLC) with his parents George H.W. and Barbara Bush in the audience, the former Florida governor focused on his work in education in the state but got big applause for talking about immigration and Israel.
We have to fix the broken immigration system and that means controlling the border and making sure legal immigration is easier than illegal, he said. But it also means dealing with 11 million undocumented workers
where they pay a fine, they work, they do what they want to do which is come out of the shadows, provide for their families and over a period of time get earned legal status.

This guy needs to be deported back to Mexico or wherever he thinks he came from. And he can take his Imelda Marcos wannabe senora with him.
Its not amnesty if they pay that $100 fine,
As long as “earned legal status” means:
1) go home or stay home
2) learn to speak English
3) learn a skill or get an education in a field that is needed in the US
4) apply for citizenship
5) wait your turn
6) come over to American when your number is called
Perry and Rubio believe the same. Too many pro-ILLEGAL alien Republicans and not enough conservatives.
Jefe Jeb, the ONLY way to “earn” legal status is to go back to your native country, get in line at the US embassy and submit the paperwork to emigrate....and then wait and wait and wait.
Those are just the ones who admit it.
Poor Jeb, Hispanics will earn their citizenship by voting for Hillary. Another GOP dupe reaches for the hearts and minds of people who will never vote for him. Liberalism is a package Jeb. Get with the program, and join forces with Hillary. You two already look alike.
My Wife is a UK Citizen, I got her a Green Card the LEGAL WAY, spent $10,000 and 1 1/2 years.
JEB KISS MY ASS YOU MARXIST POS. SEND THEM ALL BACK TO WHERE THEY CAME FROM AT THE POINT OF A GUN.
Rubio doesn't admit it either even though he has said as much. The bigger problem is the GOP will likely nominate one of the pro-amnesty candidates. And that can only hurt the party and America.
He must be smoking crack if he thinks he is going to survive a GOP primary season with that line.
The Jebster should go and take Hope and Change to Mexico.
“Earned” by breaking the law!!
UNdocumented INSURGENTS.....
don’t KILL me, I am not a rino, troll, etc and support CRUZ and FR wholeheartedly, but I thought Cruz said a POSSIBLE chance at legal status for some would get them out of the shadows. I am 100 percent Cruz and if it’s what he needs o say to get elected that’s fine with me. people change their mind all the time once elected.
And that is why I will NOT vote for Jeb Bush. I can tap the screen for some else that at least has the country’s best interests in mind.
Actually, the way it will be written will allow the fine to be waived under certain circumstance, which it will be under almost ALL circumstances.
I could support such a policy, with reasonable terms, if it included a pretty strict moratorium on new immigration for at least 10 years, immediate deportation for any new illegal immigrants, tightening up of employment law, etc. And if I had any reason at all to believe those in power will follow through on their commitments to enforce the new laws.
Since the only result of any such amnesty would be the legalization of our present crop of illegals while shortly thereafter starting non-enforcement of the new laws, I can’t support it.
Cruz has mentioned possible legal status but not citizenship. Walker has said pay a fine and that would open a path to citizenship. At least, that has been one of Walker’s positions.
Ted Cruz opposes a pathway to citizenship for ILLEGAL aliens. He has said so and I believe him. What he does support is allowing those here ILLEGALLY to stay to work should they acquire the proper documents. No citizenship means they cannot vote. Citizenship, as proposed by Perry, Bush, and all other liberal Republicans, will grant voting rights to the ILLEGAL hordes, with the overwhelming majority voting democRAT. Cruz is sane enough to know what a disaster that would be.
