An investigation into the death of Baltimore resident Freddie Gray has found no evidence that his fatal injuries were caused during the videotaped arrest and interaction with police officers, according to multiple law enforcement sources.

How exactly do you know that his spine was severed?
Another thread here said the other guy in that van said it was not a rough ride — and that Gray was banging around on his other side right up until they got to the police station.
It sounds to me like the van driver is in the clear.
Question is at what point did Gray’s spine get severed — if not while in the van?
Freddie’s mom was/is a crack head and he suffered from lead poisoning as a kid.
He wasn’t right in the head to begin with. Given his criminal history and behavior he had impulse issues. I am sure nothing he did was rational.
Don’t remember the name...but there was a pro football player that fractured his neck by celebrating a touchdown...by head butting a padded wall while wearing a helmet...it can be done

Fox Business News reported that the medical examiner's report decribes Freddie's broken neck and the other prisoner in the van has already reported that Freddie was inflicting injuries on himself.

I’ve personally seen much worse. We had a prison inmate bite his own finger off a few years ago and then try to sue the state for failing to protect him from himself.
We were talking about him being dusted last night. Someone else mentioned the possibility today as well. Speculation of course, but AD will definitely put one in that scenario. People have done some crazy ind seemingly impossible things on Angel Dust.

I read that Freddie Gray underwent spinal surgery one week before the arrest. This was surgery to correct the result of an auto accident. Are they burying this information? Is there any way to confirm that Gray was involved in an auto accident? Is there any medical information one could get through investigation?
I believe that everyone deserves justice, including unsavory characters like Gray. I also believe that his criminal history and what appears to be his history of lawsuit scamming are relevant pieces of evidence in this case. It’s possible the police contributed to his death. It seems likely that Gray contributed even more.
IMO if it were a rough ride, then both of the detainees would have been injured in some way. Only one was.
The truth won’t matter is correct.

WHAT WAS THE CAUSE OF DEATH?
Police say Gray died of a "significant spinal injury." An attorney for the family says his spine was "80 percent severed in the neck area." An autopsy has been done, and while the findings have not been released, police say no bodily injury was evident during the post mortem and no limbs were broken.

Was he separate from the other prisoner or together? Isn’t it possible another criminal injured him?
