If the cops are doing a FI (Field Investigation) on you, and you decide to high tail it and run away from them FOR ONE MILE FOOT CHASE, expect to have some very PO’d cops when they catch up with you. Can you be arrested for running from the cops although you haven’t yet been arrested? I don’t know.

The convict was LEGALLY arrested, for cause. No, it was not a true switchblade, but he was carrying a spring-assisted knife BANNED BY BALTIMORE CITY CODE. Maryland does NOT have a state-level knife law preemption law.
