Baltimore Rally: Burn Down Stores to Get Them ‘Out of Our Communities’
Breitbart's Big Government ^ | May 2, 2015 | Staff

Posted on 05/03/2015 1:11:03 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

During a large rally in front of Baltimore’s City Hall, a young man introduced as “Brother Rose,” in winding and sometimes incoherent speech, praised the burning of a CVS store at the corner of Pennsylvania and North Avenues. “America didn’t care until we started affecting things they profit from… What we saying, ‘Let’s get you out of our communities.’”

He also said, “Without us running (unintelligible) Mondawmin Mall [the site of mass looting on Monday], taking back from the stores that have taken our dollars for how long, and not giving back to the community in any type of way. We made a statement. The world heard us then. They heard that the youth of Baltimore are going to get justice by any means necessary.”(continued)

““America didn’t care until we started affecting things they profit from… What we saying, ‘Let’s get you out of our communities.’””

Actually America did and still does care. Unfortunately, you would bizatch and complain about outsiders coming in to make money off your community, so you were free to make your own decisions, vote the way you wish, and govern yourselves. You decided to elect corrupt politicians, failed government dependency policies, propped up union bosses, and tolerated drugs and gangs in YOUR OWN NEIGHBORHOODS. Many of you even participated in and benefited from this socially destructive activity.

Now you seem to be admitting that change is needed. We all agree on that. We can get rid of the very small number of bad apples in police departments and clean up a policy here and there, but that won’t change core destructive personal and community behavior. No government policy or program alone can do that. YOU MUST DO IT YOURSELVES. It’s time to stop acting like the helpless children that your OPPORTUNIST leaders want you to be.

He also advocated shutting down restaurants and businesses that were protecting their investments. “If they protected themselves against you, protect yourselves against them. Don’t spend your money there. Don’t give them no reason to be in your neighborhood. Kick them out.”

So they want "justice" due to alleged lack of their own economic empowerment, but want what little economic development exists in their areas gone to further reduce wealth in their communities.

And as you can see, it remains the narrative, not actual facts, behind this "movement" - given the racial makeup of the officers involved, there is no way race had anything to do with what occurred.

This is what happens when you raise people who can’t think beyond their next meal—if that.

Just as an aside, I hear rumors of Mc Donald’s closing some stores. Could be a whole bunch. I wonder if any in the rioting and historically rioting areas are going to lose their Mc D’s, Walmarts and the like?

Chief Craig was on CNN this morning. He’s a lot more soft spoken that Sheriff Clarke but is pretty closely aligned ideologically.

While the big money is doing its thing in downtown Detroit, Craig is encouraging change within the homes and neighborhoods as a means of making business feel welcome. He pointed to the burned and looted Baltimore businesses and said, “We already know where this leads”.

This must be more of that “larger conversation” on race relations that Obama and his dems have been talking about.

I don’t know about others, but I sure feel like we are bonding.

No problem. The new AG will just charge any chains closing stores in riot zones with hate crimes.

Problem solved.

There are many of them in positions of high elected office just as clueless - they are just more eloquent in stating it.

Liberalism is a mental disorder.

"“America didn’t care until we started affecting things they profit from… What we saying, ‘Let’s get you out of our communities.’”

Boy is he going to be pissed when he can't shove his way into a non-existent store to get the latest Jordans. Can a grown man be any more ignorant as to why he even has clothes on? What? Does his toilet paper also come from some Obambi "magical stash" or should I say "magical factory in the sky"?

Even a child of 6 knows stuff comes from stores. Doubt that kid wants the stores to go away.

Too many have fried their brains on drugs....it's a popular past time in the hood. So you can't expect they can carry a reasonable conversation let alone articulate a clear thought.....and no wonder they don't work...

> 10 to 1 its “our” money. And I’m kind of sick of corporations and congressmen making a fortune off of these people spending “our” tax money by the trillions.
the poor and corps and congresscritters do ok, but we don’t

I’m definitely not. Not anymore. I probably paid in $160K - $180K in income taxes from 2003 - 2013 but 0 killed the economy so he’s gettin a whole lot less this year by far. F the G. They’re not getting a penny above what they’re entitled to...hell I bet the rich libs and celebs aren’t paying a dime of taxes with all their offsets...

I just learned this the other day from an AT&T infrastructure engineer: the Google Fiber in Austin is ONLY being installed right now in the ‘under-served’ area named Bluebonnet 20. All the adjacent rich neighborhoods have to wait another year or more.

My 401K/Retirement manager (Forntune 500) sent me a letter this week announcing now all same-sex marriages qualify for benefit assignment.

Working-class, rich YT breeders are now the dregs of our ‘transformed’ society.

They haven’t a clue why they’re saying what they’re saying....they are simply regurgitating what they hear without thought about what it means.

But what they are getting across clearly is it’s the worlds fault their life is as it is...not there’s.

I saw a report on Fox that spoke about a baby diaper handout because CVS was burned down. So, may the baby without a diaper crap on these anarchists.

So tired of the whole "giving back" narrative.

Freaking morons have the possibility of employment at an appropriate wage. That should be enough.
