Ben Carson, retired neurosurgeon turned conservative star, has confirmed that he will seek the Republican presidential nomination in 2016.
Carson, who has never run for public office, is expected to be the only high-profile African-American to enter the GOP’s presidential primary as he tries to parlay his success as an author and speaker into a competitive campaign against established politicians.
“I’m willing to be part of the equation and therefore, I’m announcing my candidacy for president of the United States of America,” he said in an interview aired Sunday night by Ohio’s WKRC television station.
He is set to make a more formal announcement during a speech from his native Detroit on Monday.

Ad hominem does not help your argument in the least. Please show us where Ben Carson flat out says cities are not in need of the Second Amendment. Do you understand the difference between abolishing the Second Amendment, and upholding it within reason? Apparently not. You overstated your point, and rather than accept the facts, you resort to ad hominem. The evidence thereby points to DU as your heritage, not mine.
Then let him write a book. Muddying the waters in the primaries aides nobody except Jeb Bush.

Your own evidence proves you wrong. Carson is a far cry from saying cities do not need the Second amendment. It is your reading comprehension that is in need of a serious tune up.
A better way to state your case would be, “Carson seems intent on introducing strictures upon the Second Amendment that I would not recommend. Semi-automatic firearms ought to be made available to anybody and everybody, even the criminally insane in large cities.”

I’m hoping after he gets done telling all those people that they need to do cool stuff he could smite a few libs off FR so the rest of us could actually work to further conservatism without the constant propaganda from the GOPe, but I understand he’s busy.

I once mentioned 15 was ridiculous for minimum wage and I was roasted because I said maybe 10 was good.
My soft heart gets in the way of my conservative thinking sometimes. I know there should be no minimum wage and they wouldn’t be happy until they got 100 an hour. But I have weak moments.
