...After seeing CNN's story Friday on Charles Gladden -- a man who works in the Senate cafeteria but lives on the streets -- Nathan Morris, the co-founder of musical group Boyz II Men, started an online call to arms to help.

Using a crowd-funding site "Go Fund Me," Morris urged people to make a donation to help Gladden find housing....

...Gladden, 63, makes about $11 an hour, and takes home about $360 a week. But he said he gives a lot of it to his children and grandchildren, who have their own financial troubles.

"I take care of them," he says, "I don't want to be a burden on my kids."

Though the story is a week old, it was used this morning in Miami...and the focus turned from helping an old poor guy to.....wait for it....INCREASING THE MINIMUM WAGE.

The “progressives” KNOW NO SHAME do they.

Their corrupting this story of personal compassion....slanting and reframing to meet their own “needs”..is really about as low as it gets.

Another thing....GOFUNDME is a joke, having discriminated against victims of religious bias and black cops who are innocent until proven guilty.

There’s something wrong here. He gives his children money but they won’t provide him with a home?

Rather than just being a cheerleader, why doesn't Nathan Morris just cough up some money and rent the guy an apartment?

These "celebrities" get all indignant, and call for others to empty their pockets, but they rarely (if ever) contribute themselves.

The whole thing is just a cheap publicity stunt.

“There’s something wrong here.”

Several things! This man apparently never learned any valuable skills in his 63 years. I’m not trying to pick on him, but you can seriously upgrade your skills and education over 6 decades and he apparently did none of that.

Reminds me of when I lived in Philly and they would give away fans to the elderly. The old folks would step out of their Lincoln Town cars and line up for the freebie.

It gets freakin’ hot in Philly every year. You mean in 60-80 yrs, you never bought yourself a fan? But you have a big American car to cruise around in? Please.
