You are correct... but I am doubtful that they actually have a moral compass. The success of Democrats is predicated on the destruction of the Moral Compass. Most Democrats have a thinking process that is largely indistinguishable from the thinking patterns of a common career criminal.
One of the goals of the left is complete control over moral and ethical principles. To do this completely, they have to destroy the family and the Church. They are well on their way to their goal.

Years ago, a friend and I used to travel for business. We’d look online for extended stay places with a full kitchen. From the research we’d do online, we’d take the address of the property and do a search for the general area to get a feel of the surrounding neighborhoods.
All one of us has to say was, “Lotsa Democrats there”. We knew what each other meant and avoided the area.
