Just more of the same from the “most transparent administration evah”. It’s only getting notice because a lot of the left oppose it, and a lot of GOPe support it.

>>Call your congresscritters<<

Hate to be so cynical here....but, they ain’t listening.

Trade deals all the way back to NAFTA/GATT have been so lopsided as to give advantage to foreign countries, my guess this one will fall in lock step with previous agreements.

Bring down America. Remember the Huuuuge sucking sound of jobs leavin our country? Well here we are decades later...less millions of good paying American manufacturing jobs. We shoulda listened. Ross was right on the mark.

But hey, what does an accomplished businessman like Perot know anyhow. Let’s leave this to the politicians shall we.

“WHY would this be CLASSIFIED?”

Perhaps because it is still being negotiated with other countries, and they don’t want to show our cards.

Not that I trust them, but I can see a reason for secrecy during treaty negotiations.

It’s a trade agreement. Not a military or arms agreement. I could understand the later being somewhat secret until time to announce an agreement and ratification. But a trade agreement? Uh, no.

[ WHY on each would this be CLASSIFIED? Why are their so many mentally and morally sick people in Washington, DC? ]

Because most of the people in DC believe they are elected to GOVERN us instead of Represent us...

It is for granting the President fast track authority to negotiate a trade treaty, which would then be voted on by simple majority, rather than the full majorities required for treaties.

I fully expect Obama to abuse whatever power he is granted, but the fast track authorization likely includes some bottom line constraints which must be met - so negotiators on the other side would be helped to drive a harder deal, if they know what the American’s real bottom lines are.

Our only hope is that enough critters from both wings of the uniparty decide to vote NO TPA for TPP. (But I ain’t holding my breath.)

Yeah and I'd add Paul Weyrich back in the time before his injury to that as well. Our nation was founded by men who pledged the lives fortunes, and future as well as their sacred honor to obtain our freedom from tyranny. Today we are ruled by ones whom dishonor life, acquire vast fortunes via illicit and questionable means, do not hold anything sacred but power and money, and have no honor, nor the fear of GOD dwelling in them.

Last year our bilateral trade deficit with the Peoples Republic of China was at an all-time record high (quite a bit higher than ever before) of 342 billion dollars.

This year, we have run an even larger, in every single month.

This month in fact, our deficit is roughly 10 billion dollars worse even, than last year in March.

Our trade situation is tragic, and getting worse. Bring back American jobs.

BRING BACK AMERICAN JOBS.
