Dr Carson is am amateur in that he comes from a real background as opposed to politics. He is not (yet) adept at lying, spin and parsing.
So he’ll say something that makes sense (to him has a ring of truth - not thought through) like 2nd Amendment is fine except in “big cities” where there is too much gun violence.
Huh? That means intercity folks should not be allowed to buy and own their own home- and self-defense weapons because no one should have them. He forgets that if and when they ban guns, only criminals will own them. The peaceful, law abiding folks will cower in their homes waiting to be made prey by ruthless peditors.
So true and that is what gets him in trouble because it gives the media all sorts of opportunities to ambush him.
The difference between him and a politician is he is a real person and not a pandering dissembler. The difference between him and a major media hack is he is a real person and not a lying dissembler.
