To: Yellowstone Joe

What a cold response when you consider the fact that they took on a loan to help the poor dog. I see no reason to disparage them.


Just to make it clear, I value human life completely differently than animal life. I think it is cruel to cause an animal to suffer, but if one comes up seriously injured, I think the humane thing is to put it out of its misery. They are simple creatures compared to man.

I’m applying what I call a “Christian” perspective and the instructions in the bible on animal husbandry that are not allegorys of how to treat humans.

None of that excuses your response to what their heart moved them to do.

You have a cold heart. All your secondary replies as to why you responded the way you did does not change your initial heartless response.

Perfect. In this case, then, the folks, according to your calculus, did the right thing.

The dog is doing quite well after surgery, not suffering and no longer seriously injured.
