What a cold response when you consider the fact that they took on a loan to help the poor dog. I see no reason to disparage them.

None of that excuses your response to what their heart moved them to do.
You have a cold heart. All your secondary replies as to why you responded the way you did does not change your initial heartless response.

I think it is cruel to cause an animal to suffer, but if one comes up seriously injured, I think the humane thing is to put it out of its misery.
