PRAYERS ASCENDING ON HIGH FOR OUR AMERICAN HEROES AND FOR OUR BELOVED NATION!

Gen. George Washington and his Troops Marching To Valley Forge
December 1777

IN THE COLDEST and darkest days of the American Revolution, General George Washington raised his prayers for the survival of his beleaguered Army and of the new Nation. The Lord answered his prayers, upheld his Army through a punishing nadir to everlasting Glory, and bestowed His Manifold Blessings upon the new Nation.

FROM THE BRAVE, albeit weary, ill-equipped, and untrained volunteers who marched into Valley Forge on 19 December 1777 arose, with the help of some gallant friends from across the waves, the cohesive fighting force that became the United States Army, global defender of Freedom and scourge of Tyrants.

AS GENERAL WASHINGTON lifted his prayers on high in that bleak Winter, let our prayers now rise like a fountain for our Heroes in the American Armed Forces who seek to secure the benefits of Freedom on behalf of a people hungry for them. Father, look on our prayers for them with favor, guide their steps in righteousness and gather them in the shelter of Your Healing Wings. Bless and uphold them in the performance of their Mission. Through Jesus Christ, Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.

HEAVENLY FATHER, Lord of the Nations, unto Your Divine Mercy we commend the souls of these valiant men and women who have fallen in the service of our Beloved Nation and in defense of the Freedoms we hold dear. We pray that You gather them in Your Loving Embrace, that You cause Your Countenance to shine upon them, and that You vouchsafe their souls to dwell eternally in Your Divine Presence. Through Jesus Christ Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.

Here is my prayer for each day:

Lord, lead me to the ones I need.
Lord, lead me to the ones who need me.

Prepare yourself before you say this prayer, because GOD is just waiting for you to express this wonderful saying.

Two days after the first time I prayed this, GOD set me up with a neighbor (suffering from MS), who was transitioning from independent living into a facility for full care. She had to make this move because she fell out of her wheelchair and lay on the floor of her apt for over 11 hrs.

We had been friends because she is also a writer - and has published several articles or mini books. While I knew she had MS, I also knew she had people who came on a regular basis to care for her.

Yesterday, a bunch of us went over to her apt (they had brought her there to let us know what to do with her stuff), and we packed up stuff to keep and stuff to sell; etc.

And .. as a result, I may be able to move into her apt (after they do some maintenance, paint and install new carpet, etc.). Right now I live in another unit at the same complex - and I’ve been wanting to move to a flatter part of the complex. My friend’s apt is just perfect - no steps into the apt., and no steep roadway to walk, in order to get my mail and do laundry. This would be a really good move for me.

The only thing I’m giving up is my wonderful view of the valley below. At night, the many businesses are transformed into colored lights .. like sparkling gems scattered on the ground. However, the balcony is not very private .. so I seldom use it; and the pine trees (which I love), leave a mess with their constant shedding. The new patio does not have trees hanging over it .. which cuts down on cleaning the balcony before you can use it. It’s also much more private - which will allow me to get outside - work on my computer - and have a little more privacy.

Sorry to go on and on, but this move will be so good for my broken ankle and shattered foot bones - allowing me level ground to walk on - on a regular basis.

GOD promised us that he would work out everything for our benefit. When we submit our life to HIS Will; amazing things can happen.
