It would be interesting to see if Egypt and Saudi Arabia unite or at least ally with each other.

If so....who do you think is in the driver’s seat in partnership? Sauuudis got the money, Egypt has the people.

I think the House of Saud is done. Unless they democratize and join the rest of the modern world and that in itself would be its own demise. The world is tired of these camal riding hawk hunters of the 8th century controlling the energy resources of the world.

The Saudis have roughly 30 DF-3 IRBM’s from China, 1800 nm range.

The Saudi Royals get their marching orders from the Imams, so if the Imams demand that they start a nuclear war, or pass on nuclear technology to Sunni jihadis, that’s exactly what will happen.

To the surprise of no one, including the Communist-in-Chief, who wants to see nuclear proliferation because it serves as a hedge against Western hegemony.

Insane ideas, like the ones scribbled by the demented Karl Marx, have consequences.

Pakistan is not and has never been a US friend -- see this post from October 2001 Pakistani Poll shows that 82% consider Bin Laden a Holy Warrior

Egypt doesn't want to dominate the Islamic world -- Egypt is too busy bothering about itself. They may want to dominate the Arab world -- in contrast to Saudia, but they rely on Saudi money to keep their budget in the black

Iran and Turkey are ethnically different from the Arabs -- and the Arabs remember and know that

The Egyptian relation with Saudia is strange -- they don't want the kingdom's excessive theocracy or monarch, but they want the KSA's money -- they would "ally" only for a common cause and Iran isn't that.

the house of Saud is done, but the alternative will be multiple kingdoms in Arabia, like it was before Ibn Saud....

The Saudis have never felt it necessary to obtain nukes because of Israel’s alleged arsenal, but just the threat of fellow muslims in Iran getting them is enough for the Saudis to go shopping.

That should tell you something...

What I’m hearing is that our Government Officials believe they cannot stop Iran from developing Nuclear....the deal Obama is making requires a ten year stop for Iran to further develop....the reason for that is significant...it takes ten years to develop a nuclear facility etc.....which gives Saudi the time to build and develop theirs.

Saudi’s nuclear facility is the balance of power check on Iran. This is why months ago were learned that Saudi was going to work with Pakistan to develop their own nuclear site.....even before this Obama/Iran deal is set. All that’s happening now is working at the details...but the deals pretty much a done deal apart from using it politically for both US and Iran.
