It would be interesting to see if Egypt and Saudi Arabia unite or at least ally with each other.

If so....who do you think is in the driver’s seat in partnership? Sauuudis got the money, Egypt has the people.

I think the House of Saud is done. Unless they democratize and join the rest of the modern world and that in itself would be its own demise. The world is tired of these camal riding hawk hunters of the 8th century controlling the energy resources of the world.

Egypt doesn't want to dominate the Islamic world -- Egypt is too busy bothering about itself. They may want to dominate the Arab world -- in contrast to Saudia, but they rely on Saudi money to keep their budget in the black

Iran and Turkey are ethnically different from the Arabs -- and the Arabs remember and know that

The Egyptian relation with Saudia is strange -- they don't want the kingdom's excessive theocracy or monarch, but they want the KSA's money -- they would "ally" only for a common cause and Iran isn't that.

the house of Saud is done, but the alternative will be multiple kingdoms in Arabia, like it was before Ibn Saud....
