Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker met with about 100 House Republicans on Capitol Hill on Tuesday, engaging in a wide ranging discussion that hit on everything from foreign policy to why Walker doesn't have a college degree, according to those in the room

Members who spoke to NBC News after the meeting gave Walker overwhelmingly positive reviews. A common refrain from members was Walker's ease at conversing with them, which they felt would play well in a grassroots campaign and eventually with swing voters.

Walker is NOT a back stabber to conservatives. The libs in his state may pretend he's a back stabber, but quite honestly, he simply did what he said he would when he ran. I think you would call that a front stabber (to liberals).

He's pretty clear on the issues, and though it's understandable for someone to be skeptical on his immigration stance (I still am a bit queasy on that one), right now he's officially to the right (correctly) of Ted Cruz on immigration.

If he runs (likely) he's one of two great conservatives in the race. I find that amazing, we haven't had even one good one in several cycles.

I can’t believe yoy said what you did.

Walker is the only candidate to be tempered in the fires of intense political reality. He has fought and fought and faced the opposition eyeball to eyeball in a life or death struggle. He won the battle for his recall. he faced down literal mobs trashing the state capital building.

Your suspicions are totally groundless and to air them is precisely the nonsense conservatives spout to drag a positively excellent candidate down that in some minor and even trivial aspect.

While Sen Cruz is an outstanding conservative candidate, he has never faced the in office adversity that Governor walker has overcome.

I certainly understand your reservations and share them. I’ve learned to follow my instincts and I just don’t trust him. If you have a solid core, your positions are not in a constant state of transition. We’re on solid ground with Cruz.

Since you just dropped by to take a swipe at Walker, I'll reward you with this "solid ground" item for the thread to evaluate.

Good point. Ted “alien workers are best” Cruz has some interesting plans for our homeland.

Well Bert, people are entitled to their opinions. I see Walker moving leftwards with personnel decisions and statements.
