I just edited the first hour and a caller asked about it and Rush declined to elaborate. Some of the theories mentioned in public & private are gaining more and more traction.
I do notice RL morphing into Paul Harvey as he reads entire articles or significant portions of them over the air only to add a meager helping of commentary or, more often than not, running out of time before he’s able to do so. Someone please tell Rush we have the internet as well and have probably already read many of these pieces. We listen for his views, not theirs.
You know, this NFL and Deflate Gate and these diversions into football and golf and so on are a real turn-off to me. The last day I listened to him, he stuck pretty well to the real job his is there for “politics” for a couple of hours and then inexplicably careened off on that doggone deflategate stuff with a very childish connection to whatever political point he was talking about.
It’s is discouraging and frankly, unless there is some earth shaker event that happens I think he’s bound to have to cover in the next show thereafter, I don’t even bother to listen to the opening monologue.
I realize it’s his show and that he controls the horizontal and he controls the vertical except for Fridays, but just damn! Lay off talking about your golf and your football for a few weeks for a change, Rush. I don’t listen to you for that.
