Postwar reports from Paris London, Rome. An interview with a sailor from the U.S.S. Franklin, returned to New York after being hit by a kamikaze off Okinawa. A report from San Francisco on the U.N. conference. Something is going on in Tangier. At this critical time severe droughts in the western hemisphere is hampering food production. And so on.

I remember seeing pics of that - the Franklin burned like a British chick on the beach!

My grandfather would have still been serving aboard a battleship while this was being broadcasted, while my grandmother would have been listening to this on her radio. I wouldn’t have been born for a couple more years.

I am also loving the commercials. ;>)
