Ted Cruz dropped the hammer on the media for continuing to ask him about gay rights:
WASHINGTON POST Then Texass junior U.S. senator visiting Beaumont to meet privately with county officials and others got in a light sparring round with reporters, mainly working on his attacks on Hillary Rodham Clinton and defending his views on same-sex marriage.
Is there something about the left and I am going to put the media in this category that is obsessed with sex? Cruz asked after fielding multiple questions on gay rights. ISIS is executing homosexuals you want to talk about gay rights? This week was a very bad week for gay rights because the expansion of ISIS, the expansion of radical, theocratic, Islamic zealots that crucify Christians, that behead children and that murder homosexuals that ought to be concerning you far more than asking six questions all on the same topic.
Cruz also said he did not think his opposition to gay marriage will hurt his chances with moderate voters.
With respect, I would suggest not drawing your questions from MSNBC they have very few viewers and they are a radical and extreme partisan outlet, Cruz told a reporter. He cited the expansion of mandatory same-sex marriage as an assault on religious liberty in the United States.
BOOM!
I wish there was video of this exchange, but so far I havent found it. Even so this was a great response and Ted Cruz is proving he knows how to handle the media in a substantive way.
UPDATE: Ive found video of Cruz slamming a liberal reporter for asking him if he has a personal animosity toward gay Americans. In the first video report he slams the question itself from the reporter:
Do you have a personal animosity against Christians sir? Your line of questioning is highly curious. You seem fixated on a particular subject. Look, Im a Christian. Scripture commands us to love everybody and what I have been talking about, with respect to same-sex marriage, is the Constitution which is what we should all be focused on. The Constitution gives marriage to elected state legislators. It doesnt give the power of marriage to a president, or to unelected judges to tear down the decisions enacted by democratically elected state legislatures.
UPDATE II: Heres a better video that encompasses the entire question and answer of both videos, all in one:

Abso-friggin-lutely.
That does summarize the video quite nicely. You can see why the MSM and Dems are so afraid of Ted Cruz. He is just too smart to fall for their gotcha questions. Jeb Bush should study the Ted Cruz YouTube videos if he wants to avoid screwing up so badly in the future.
OK, that was a stupid idea. It wouldn't work for Jeb or anybody else because the other candidates just don't have the Cruz smarts.
I can hardly wait for the debtates.
With this stupidly crowded GOP field, I believe if Ted keeps this strategy(putting media on the defensive) he could win the nomination. Just don’t get sidetracked or hijacked, ted.
WayneS slams the media for being obsessed with Ted Cruz’s comments about the media being obsessed with sex...
“I can hardly wait for the debtates.”
Neither can Candy C, George S, and all the other ultra-leftist freaks that Republicans allow to “moderate” debates.
The media like the fairy in chief are totally obsessed with homosexuality and cross dressing.
Said it before, and I’ll say it again.
Republicans should absolutely refuse to debate until the demonrats agree to at least ONE moderated by Coulter, Limbaugh, Levin, Hannity, Tex Baxter, etc.
*Ted
Absolutely. Especially following the oh so revealing L'affair Stephanopoulos. To be equitable; 4 debates. Republicans choose 2 moderators. Democrats choose 2. Done.
We can expect the debate “moderators” to try to avoid Cruz as much as possible and give him as little face time as they can. The American people will never catch on to the hypocrisy.
Sex of this kind is the vehicle to totalitarianism, but the American people can’t figure it out.
Body slam. Reporter, Bill Clinton suggests you put some ice on that.
If this were followed, there would be no debates at all.
Can you appreciate Cruz’s laser debate style. It is like a finely honed steel blade? It cuts fast, clean, and deep. There is nothing like it. It is only possible with a brilliant mind. There are other good conservative candidates running, but when it comes to debate, Cruz is the master.
Of course we heard those same sentiments about Alan Keyes and debates.
Sex obsession has been a liberal characteristic since I can remember liberals, the early 60s. It was a major consideration for the original Communists. What everyone else called “free love” the Leninistas called a “community of women” essentially that all women would be available to all men with none having any exclusive rights.
He totally owned that pencil necked punk. I have never seen a GOP candidate handle the media this well.
